I need to get back into traditional media... I just don't have any freakin space! >_< And ya Maya (lol this one has two "a"s) isn't really the easiest thing in the world... it's huge, cluttered, overbearing, & complicated... especially to start out on. If you have a Wacom, you might want to check out Mudbox or ZBrush. Sculpting apps are a good start for traditional artists to get into 3D art (assuming you've got some decent money laying around, of course), & if ur this good with traditional & PS, I'd be surprised if you don't pick up ZB really quickly.
