Balthazar Posted September 10, 2008 Share Posted September 10, 2008 (edited) So after a pretty decent hookah-session and the following quality time cleaning my hookah, I was ready to put it back in the closet (where I keep all my hookah-equipment). Then this happened:Luckily everything but the vase survived. Still, this really sucks, especially considering the price of shipping to Norway. So while I'm ordering a new vase I might as well add some other stuff too (Tangiers blueberry!).Anyways, I've never ordered a vase alone. Don't really know about sizes and such, but I guess I need a large one? Any suggestions? For those wondering it's a KM Hafa. I want a good vase, quality is more important than looks. Getting both would be great, but quality remains the priority. Would be great if you could suggest a vase on a site that also carries tangiers blueberry.Thanks. For those wondering, I'll be spending the rest of the evening studying. Rani Posted September 11, 2008 Share Posted September 11, 2008 Email George at Hookah Company. He will know exactly what replacement base will fit as he sells Hafa's off and on when he gets them. And they carry Tangiers obviously. That way at least you're not making an international phone call. I can't remember if he ships internationally or not. cohlineman Posted September 11, 2008 Share Posted September 11, 2008 I had the same situation, as many have, with my MYA Mini, which smokes so good that my Egyptians sit on the shelf allot.I had previously purchased vases for it from dealers on this forum but this time I needed to get it in service quickly.I went to the local Antique store stem in hand and walked around until I found the perfect fit... old glass milk bottles are perfect for this set up! Some older ones are very pretty, I opted for a very old shaped bottle that fits the lines of the stem. Purpose built vases are fantastic but a little legwork may find you a nice unique vase. Balthazar Posted September 12, 2008 Author Share Posted September 12, 2008 In need of some advice.I'm thinking of getting the green KM replacement vase from gotHookahs (good thing they use a capital H, or else I'd read it as "goth-hookahs") as I find it quite beautiful, and it shouldn't give me any problems getting a snug fit. What sucks about ordering online, however, is that it cost me a fortune to get it shipped over here. So I was thinking that I might as well get a new hookah too, seeing how gotHookahs has got a lot of great ones to a great price.Kinda stuck between one of the one-hosed syrians and the Magdy Zidan Perpetual River. Anyone want to add their 2 cents? I already have the hafa (and as soon as the vase arrives it'll be up and smoking in no time) and I feel like the MZ pretty much is the same quality, but not quite as good on the purge. This will be my last cry for help for a while, I'm really struggling to decide what to go with.Today I got a reply from HC. They said my stem should get a snug fit with the Bohemian Sakura Vase as long as I use three or four of these gaskets. I love the look of the vase, although it's pricier than the one from gotHookahs. Also, HC has the Nour Bohemian. I absolutely love the look of the hookah, and I hear it's pretty good too. It's pricy, but I can afford it, and it really is a looker (think I'll be scared to smoke that thing).So. Bohemian Vase and Nour-hookah or KM Vase and MZ Perpetual River? Keep in mind that I already have a KM Hafa and that it will probably continue being my go-to hookah. Pics for the lazy:+VS.+The latter kills price-wise, but I do want a syrian pipe and the Nour just looks fantastic. So I'm not buying a vase and a stem, I'm buying a vase and a hookah. But yeah, the Syrian hookah and the flower vase is most tempting right now.
