Places To Buy Shisha In Ny?!

I'm new to the area and I'm looking for a place to buy some shisha and coals in either manhattan or brooklyn. Can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks in advance.

You don't have to look very far if you're in the city.

Just Google shisha or hookah, New York, NY - you'll get a listing of "head" shops that carry shisha. Since you said that you're new to the area, you should know that most shops I've come across don't have a selection close to what you can order online. The Arab groceries on Steinway in Astoria, Queens, for instance carry Middle-Eastern brands, but mostly just AF (obviously one too). Also, I haven't been able to find any coals in these shops aside from insta-lights.

Given that you'll be paying NY prices, though in some cases 250g of AF can run $12.00, you'll fair better shopping online. With the selection most sites offer and a forum discount code, you can make it worthwhile.

If the city is really where you want to look, at W. 4th, off 6th Avenue, there's a shisha shop - but their prices are rather high. Also, you'll find a bunch of shops in the Village, right south of NYU. Edited September 11, 2008 by judgeposer
