I Wuz ROBBED!!!

Recommended Posts

So I get home with my nifty new USB Scale (on clearance at Radio Shack for $9.95) and I'm looking for something to weigh. After determining that an emty jar of peanut butter weighs 1.726 ounces, I remember I have an unopened tub of Al Fakher Lemon. I took it out of the tub, and put it on the scale, still in its foil bag.245 grams! Now by the time I subtract the bag and the residual that sticks to it, I'll be 10-15g down! I'd write a letter and complain, but I'm to busy finding more stuff to weigh.Time to bake my 1.069 pound potato...

I guess he just wants to make sure hes gettin exactly what hes payin for...which means 250g's of tobacco..not plastic tub but im with u duck...anything under 10g's is understandable..i wonder how tangiers goes through his weighing process to make sure he has the right grammage and if it includes the jar/tub its stored in?

this is without the tub, which weighs 18g with the lid, 12g without.I'm not really that worried about being shorted, just playing with my new toy.Now back to my 20.714 oz beer...

they are manufacturing corporations, of course they have percise measuring equipment.they shaft you on purpose. isn't it technically illegal to state falsely the amount of product inside? I believe it is, but no one in the legal system gives a sh*t. I think tangiers had the same problem trying to pursue it.

It justs like ipods they advertise 2gb nanos but in reality they are
only like 1.92 gb. 250 grams sounds more appeling than 246g they
wouldn't package each tobacco separately with different weights and to
measure each out accuraely would take to much time. The only person i
know that measure with precison is tangiers.

i think the reason ipods come in that way is because it is virtually impossible to get memory to be the exact amount.  usually, the actual hard drive amount is more than is advertised, but they just have to load on the operating system (just like windows on your computer), which takes up space too.  but that does suck we dont get what we paid for with shisha..

As far as the shortage issue...I have noticed, from weighing them myself, the following brands coming up short:Al FahkerLayaleenaPharoahsThe only brand that hasn't is Al Amir. I have no experience, one way or the other on Al Waha or other unmentioned brands. I have heard stories of Nahkla, from the distributor on the East Coast, being rediculously short, like Fishdog said. I have contacted various agencies, in the spirit of cut-throat competitiveness and found a range of reactions from "unh" to "Nobody will do anything". Yes C4rb0n, it is illegal, it violates Califonia's Business and Professions code and it probably violates similar laws in other states. This is how companies have been reduced to competing for price. They do have exact equipment, probably, they just don't care.
