Sonthert
What is the UPC barcode number on the box?
rishi
Ok -on one of the Al Fakher packs from the new/second set (the one leading to www.alfakher.com) the barcode is 6291100730087.From my old set one of the barcodes is ...oops, I can't say! Like a fool I chucked the old packaging away and just stored the flavours in an air tight container. Does looking at the websites give anything else away? malakas
I've had the pleasure of smoking "El Fakher". A sweet melon. Quite good actually.
Lund
The best I can buy locally is "El Fakher". It's not bad. I grown quite fond of the coca-cola flavor.

Guest LondonShisha
I just got back from dubai about 2 weeks ago. One of the largest supermarkets there (Carrefour) had 2 different types of al-fakher. The original and another one 'al-fakhir' made by the dubai company. I bought some of both, the fake one is not bad but is definately not al-fakher. too many stems and the grain is different. Can't believe such a major chain would carry the fake stuff - maybe copyright isn't an issue in the UAE?
erik
I agree that the fake one is pretty good, but not as good as the real Al Fakher and plays more in the league of the everywhere-present Nahkla.Makes me sad though, since it makes it hard to find the real stuff.I also heard something about that the Nakhla that we can buy pretty much everywhere, is also some kind of lower-class/fake Nakhla? Wherever I heard/read that said something about that the real Nakhla always comes with a colorful stripe around the package? Whereas the other just has a red stripe.Or was this just a rumor of some sort?
clown
In Israel the Nakhla comes with a colorful stripe around the package.

Both my Al Fakher and the other Al Fakher (with the Al Fakhir website printed on the inside packet, which incidently is made in Dubai/Sharjah) came from Carrefour in Abu Dhabi!!!So Carrefour, which is a major French retail chainstore (also in the UAE) stock a fake and the original.I suppose the Al Fakhir type is fake -check both websites though as both seem authentic!!! The weird thing is that the Al Fakhir has Al Fakher printed on the box, but it is only on the inside package, where the web address is given that there is any difference (namely, the web url alfakhir.com). A very difficult to identify fake this is!(i've only smoked the fake one so far and it was good, so I can;t wait to try the real Al Fakher, assuming I identified the fake correctly ;-) )

The Pope
Interesting - I have a box of Al Fakher Plum sitting in front of me... the inside of the box says Al Fakhir in a pattern across the inside. If it's fake that would explain the slight difficulty I had getting it to burn well - usually AF is stable as hell. It is good when it's working though, fake or not. Great flavor. EvansLight
soo many fakes, hell even though i dont smoke AF im now intrigued to find out which is the real one!!
Sonthert
Yeah, the 6291100 numbers sound right. There is one other prefix, a much shorter number, actually, 11 digits rather than 13, something like that.
Sonthert
The other Fahker UPC number is 171370010170. 6291100730087. Both are legitamite numbers. I'm not sure, but the last four or five digits may vary based on flavor.
ka5h
hi, i a new to the site but know a lot about alfakher. the one which says Dubai Tobacco AlFakher, is made for the Dubai market only, can be be only purchased in Dubai and made in the Dubai factory, the other is made from Ajman in the UEA for the rest of the world. both types are available in Dubai. both really not fake, the fakes are so easy to tell because of the poor packaging and the cut of the tobacco is thin and small broken pieces.
