racemyghost Posted July 15, 2007 Share Posted July 15, 2007 Yesterday would be my second experience with my new phunnel bowl. I have ordered the Smileys mod but im still waiting to receive it. Yesterdays setup being better then my first, I will tell you how i packed yesterday. You have to pack tightly, not to tight but not loose enough ( i.e. sprinkle) for it to fall out. DO NOT pass the center phunnel and fill up to the lip. Just fill up to the center of the phunnel. I then double foiled nice and tight and here is my hole setup. ABout an hour later when i made new coals, i rotated the foil so the holes would be sitting over a new area. Here is the pic of my setup Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Please read my above post for i had an incredible 2+ hour session and didnt get any harsh smoke or burnt taste. After 2 hours, still tasted like the first 10mins. These I press with a needle and ensure it goes deep to the bottom of the funnel bowl :-The rest of the holes. OH, JD those coals are not lit appropriately, either! How unsightly. They are producing lots of carbon monoxide in that picture, they will increase for awhile and then drop of sharply. Nasty! dcrooksjr Posted September 16, 2007 Share Posted September 16, 2007 finally got my phunnel from hookah company yesterday. heres the way I packed it worked great for the star buzz have yet to use this method with other brands.i put the tobacco in loosely almost to the top, used on piece of foil pulled tight but with a little give to it. poked small holes in a circular pattern around the outer edge of the bowl, one row around. i poked four addional holes near the phunnel itself but not directly over the top of it in a dimond pattern. used two golden coals on opposite sides, then switched to the other sides after a while. smoke lasted for about 2-3 hours, witch was great because i like to play madden online while smoking and i can't always be screwing around with the pipe while playing. coals don' last as long as i like for online play, but the bowl is great.
