well, i have decided i dont like this hose, first its too stiff, then it tastes nasty unless you rinse it right before you smoke out of it. I just thought i would tell yall.

if the smoke was like really hot i could see it, but this smoke is usually room tempurature or lower, so i really dont see how it would be letting off any more toxins than running hot or cold water through it (which is what its meant for)

Just replace all your light bulbs with flouresent and youll prolly save enought every month to buy internet.round here you can get dial up like basically for free, and high-speed is only 15/month for DSL and about 20-30 for cable.Ya gotta have the net... it a netcessityBut then again, i am in school , if i wasnt i might not need it so bad

I have tried this pretty much every way that there is to try i think, here are my expereinces, in order from favorite to least.Loosley packed, not touching foil: (this is how i currenly do it) I just take some of the shisha out, and break it up and mix it up, then just toss it in the bowl with no packing at all,  i find that this smokes very good, people see me filling a bowl and think im nuts for not putting enough in it, but i find it smokes very long still, usually outlasts 2-3 golden coals added one after another and burns about 45 mins-hour! Loosley packed, touching foil: This tends to work about as good as the previous one, but i think i taste more of a burnt taste..might be in my head.packed it tight, not touching foil: Works ok if you poke some holes through the shisha to promote airflow.Packed it tight, touching foil: Seems to be tough to get good airflow (hard to pull smoke) and it seems like there is definately a burnt flavorI always use foil, it just works better for me

 Sorry if im bringing this post back from the dead, but i have a story to add.one of my freinds brought one of his freinds over to our house once for a kick back, and the freind seems to bee kindof a douche if you ask me, becasue he didnt drink or talk or anything..until we pulled out the hookah.He was obviously educated, and he knew its origin and what it was for. But he started spouting sh*t like " Your supporting terrorism" and stuff like that, becasue it comes from teh middle east. I wanted to kick him out of my house for being such a norrow mided douchebag... i couldent believe it. I told my freind not to bring him over anymore.

I have wondered about mabye using like kingsford BBQ charcoal for hookah, would this work? It sure would be cheap...

Props to isrealenigma for ispiring me for this!My hookah cam with a 3' hose, but it seamed like 1 foot when you were trying to smoke it so, i decided it was time for an upgrade. Me being cheap, recoursefull, and such, but trekked down to lowes and picke up about 7.3 feet or fresh, FDA approved, braided PVC ice maker hookup line, I tore into my old hose to take the ends off and then I proceeded to attatch them to the new hose. The new hose didnt quite fit under the metal sleeve on the old parts, so I finished it with some shiny duct-type tape and called it good.Then I ran hot water through it for a while to get the pvc taste out, and fired up a bowl of al fahker mint.The smoke was no harder to pull, and tasted just as great as usual, it came out thick and fluffy with no problems.The best part, is now me and the freinds dont have to hunch around it like a bunch of hyenas around a gazelle corpse, just kick back and enjoy.PICS:[img]http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/9928/im0014654dv.jpg[/img][img]http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/3573/im0014632ev.jpg[/img][img]http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/7683/im0014646ve.jpg[/img]

The smell the hookah is not that bad at all, i think it almost makes things smell better, it like incense!We live in a hardcore apartment (as in rules I mean) and the owners have no promblem with the hookah smell (its not invasive like cigs) But they WILL have problem when you burn big holes in the floors with the coals (we have done that and i dont think we will be getting our deposit back to say the least)

Um sorry for the beginner question but the diffuser is what?If your talking about the foil/screen that goes on top of the bowl, cutting the bottom off of a soda can works good, but its more trouble than foil, and no benifits, except its reusable

Sprite or smirnoff works great for lemon or lime flavors, and some orange soda works for orang tobacco as well!! we have been doing this for a while!but, like you said, it might be bad to start hitting it like a demon right when you put it in there though, cause youll get tons of co2.

Hi guys, i have been lurking here for quite a while now, and have learned alot and such. I am and active member on several other forums for several topics, so i figured i would add this one to the list!I have been smoking hookah for a few months now, and its great!! I never thought i would really smoke anything regularly, because my aunt died of lung cancer from ciggarettes, but this is just to enjoyable to pass up.I purchased a mini hookah from my local shop for about 30$ and a small selection of tobacco and i have upgraded to a homemade 7' hose, and It smokes just as good if not better than my freinds dual hose rotator. Anyway, howdy and hope to talk to yall more!
