  1. Nah, I'm not really interested in smoking at work... For me the whole experience is about kicking back and relaxing with friends. People at my company would not be impressed if I smoked a hookah at work either!
  2. Thanks... I'll try to wash it out, but I thought that I shouldn't supposed to wash it otherwise it will rust like the last hose did?
  3. Anyone else have any opinions? Do hoses need to be broken in?
  4. QUOTE (SuburbanSmoker @ Mar 23 2009, 10:39 PM) any chance you didnt wash it out? The new hose or the old hose?
  5. Cool, I'll try using it some more... I really hope it doesn't take too long
  6. Hi, My "cheap" hose that came with my standard egyptian hoohak (mdeium size of about 24") was getting really old, so I decided to get a new hose. The only hoses I could find were really short or quite long, but the long one looked nice and thick with a nice handle, so I got it. It looked nice, but I was really dissapointed when I smoked with it The previous night I had smoked some Nakhla Liquorice, and the flavour was very distint (fantastic) with the old hose. With the new hose, there was hardly any flavour! I switched back to the old hose and the flavour was back! How is this possible? Is the new hose absorbing the flavour? The amount of smoke was the same, just no flavour with the new hose. The new hose is long and the diameter is thicker - see the attached photos (blue = new hose, white = old hose) Any ideas? Cheers Greg
  7. Thanks for the replies Well, I couldn't taste any cinnamon - it was just awful
  8. Hi, I was wondering if anyone finds the Al Fakher inconsistant? I bought the cinnamon after reading good reviews, and after smoking the cinnamon, it tasted nothing like cinnamon at all. I know there will be an element of personal taste, but no one in our group thought the cinnamon was at all like cinnamon Cheers Greg
  9. It is pretty frustrating in the review sections... a 2nd post would mess up the structure...
  10. Nakhla El Basha Liquorice Hookah: 30" Basic Eyptian Bowl: Small standard bowl (10-15g) Screen/Foil: Single Layer Heavy Foil Coal: 1 Hookah Lite Mini Appearance: Usual medium Nakhla cut, slightly moist (not wet, not dry). Nicotine: 0.5% Base: Molasses Smell: Sweet Liquorice smell. Not too strong. Taste: Exactly like it smells, just more intense (in a good way!) Smoke: Good thick Clouds Buzz: Light, but noticable buzz. Duration: 1 Hour Overall: 10/10 I really loved this flavour. It will be one of my new favorites! It really fills your mouth with a sweet liquorice taste - just as if you were eating some liquorice. I really like non-fruit flavours as they don't have a floral taste.
  11. Al Fahker Honey Shisha Cut: Fine, dyed red, very wet (not sure why the dye honey red! Hookah Type: Basic 30" Egyptian Bowl: Basic small bowl (holds about 10 -15 grams) Duration: About 1 hour Coal : 1 Hookah Lite mini Smoke: Fairly thick smoke, but not heavy Buzz: Very mild, virtually none (its washed) Smell / Flavor: Smeeled great - just like pure honey! The taste was good - not very strong, but definite sweet authentic honey taste (not artificial at all). Rating: 7/10 It is pretty good overall - could be a little stronger for my personal taste.
  12. Al Fahker Cinnamon Shisha Cut: Fine, dyed red, very wet Hookah Type: Basic 30" Egyptian Bowl: Basic small bowl (holds about 10 -15 grams) Duration: About 1 hour Coal : 1 Hookah Lite mini Smoke: Thick smoke, but not heavy Buzz: Very mild (its washed) Smell / Flavor: Didn't really smell of strong cinnamon, a bit like medicine. Tasted really bad - like dirt (seriously, like earthy dirt that you would put a plant in. Rating: 1/10 I was hoping for something that actually tasted like cinnamon, but this was really bad After about 15 minutes, I threw it out. I was expecting more, as the other reviews for this shisha were great - maybe I got a bad batch?
