  1. Wow, thanks for welcoming me back. I feel so honored...
  2. It's that guy that no one likes... Just popping in to say hi. Haven't been on here for months and have smoked hookah for even longer. So what's new on the scene? All the regs still here?
  3. You know, I'm kind of sad to see him go. Remember, a forum member lost is 1 member less to chat to. Why did you find him so annoying? If you didn't like his posts, I'm pretty sure this forum has an ignore button. All the best to HJ and his forum, I hope it brings you many years of business
  4. Stay away from Candy and Apple Cherry. Both taste like burning bush
  5. I likw to put on some Mistabishi when I want to chill. If I'm think smoking, it's Tool, Porcupine Tree, Thrice, 3 or Fair to midland
  6. Edit: Oh yeah, they had grape as well. I love El Basha Grape, so that might also be an option?
  7. So today I walked into a local tobacconist I've been avoiding for months due to a limited range of stock. To my surprise, they got some Mizo in. They only have a few flavours, but I've wanted to try out the line for a very long time. Problem is I can only afford 2 x 250g packets as they are quite expensive and I'm saving up for a little coastal trip. Watermelon is the first flavour I'm trying so I need help deciding which 1 of the following to grab as well. They have cherry, peach, mint, lime(lemon?) and watermelon. Bear in mind, I hate OG Peach. I can't stand the stuff and feel like vomiting every time I smell it. I also despise OG lemon as it tastes like tile cleaner. I'm not sold on mint either as I don't like straight up mint. However, I've heard that Mizo peach is quite different, is that true or is my only real option Cherry?
  8. I just got back from a 2.5 week vacation at the coast and the only time I even thought about hookah was when I saw knock off KM's at a liquor store. Then again, I smoke cigs, so the "urge" for hookah might be subdued by that
  9. When you unwrap the foil on the roast and think "hmmm, if I can clean this properly, I can use it on my next bowl"
  10. The powerbull is mind blowing. The rest is pretty shite. Avoid the Banana split at all costs
  11. I'm going to say no. My first bowl of Tang was soooo sad. This is nothing at fault of Tang though, but rest assured, you will most likely fuck up your first bowl. When you get it right though, ZOMG!
  12. QUOTE (NimbleCow @ Nov 22 2009, 09:14 PM) QUOTE (scratchy @ Nov 22 2009, 10:16 AM) Am I the only one that absolutely loves anise? Hell, I bought 250g AFZAL Anise to mix. BTW, don't try Afzal silver fox or golden amber if you hate anise P Let me know what you think. I recently got some Afzal Aniseed and found the flavor mild. I would love to find a mega-intense anise but the closest I've found is AF DA. Personally I don't think Nak DA is as strong a flavor as AF DA. I tried a 50g of AF licorice but I think it was a bad batch--smelled and smoked like vinegar. I found it to be pretty potent. I sprinkle it in, foil it, then let it sit upside down for an hour or so. Flip it over, throw on half a coal for 5 minutes and then put another on. In your face flavour. I just add a little to each bowl when mixing though as it tastes like rubbish 30 minutes in, only downside to Afzal

  14. I'll stick to El Basha Grape thanks. Purple lollies FTW!
  15. QUOTE (BohoWildChild @ Nov 20 2009, 07:44 PM) QUOTE (Arcane @ Nov 20 2009, 06:23 PM) no matter what...if you do ANYTHING other than driving, while driving...you increase your chances to cause or be in an accident. you could be picking your nose, smoking a cigarette or changing the radio stations... i think Rani's standpoint is, why increase the chances especially if it may affect other people? Remy's standpoint seems to be, the increased risk can be kept to a minimum then it is acceptable to him. and even though Rani was very passionate about her story...i do believe the Fuck You was still uncalled for... Fair enough Arcane...... I looked for other words, I really did, but sometimes even I descend to places I'd rather not go. I've talked to drivers who have caused, through simple negligence, they never thought would happen, horrific accidents. They live with it every single moment of their lives. They wake up thinking about having taken a life, and they go to sleep remembering it. It's not just a matter of the deaths involved. It's the incredible damage to the one who caused it because they thought they were safe enough, but they weren't. I'm intense about it because I've had not just friends but family members who left behind drivers who killed them, not through extreme negligence, but minor distractions. If I can prevent one person, even one, of having to live with that, then I'll accept blame for saying the uncalled for if it gives someone a reason to step back and say whoa. 'Rani Too true. I don't care how "safe" you think you are driving a car and doing something else. Driving requires 100% concentration at all times. It took me 2 seconds to change the volume on my radio to not see the 5 year old girl jump in the street. Needles to say, I still can't sleep properly at nights thinking that I took away someones baby girl. Don't risk it, it's not worth it
  16. QUOTE (Arcane @ Nov 20 2009, 03:55 PM) is this Tangiers? if so, you need more heat... i dunno about other brands...but, this happens with Tangiers...especially Horchata... Eerie, it was indeed Tangiers Horchata. I figured it was a heat issue as it only started to happen when the coals got tiny. Thanks Jay
  17. I don't smoke all that much though. About 5 times a week for 10 - 30 minutes a session
  18. I'm 110% with Rani on this one. So what if you THINK you're capable of smoking hookah in the car. It only takes 1 bump, sudden stop or swerve to move the coals around, distract you and you could end up killing innocent people. Will it really break your heart to wait a few hours before smoking?
  19. When I'm having a good session, ussualy about 30-45 minutes in, I start chocking on every draw. It's as if the flavour becomes too overwhelming for my lungs. It's not harsh or anything, I just start coughing when I inhale. As if the flavour is too strong for my throat. It's weird, because the session will be going good. I notice this happen mostly when the coals start to go down and the smoke thins out, could this be the cause? The bowl isn't done either, 90% of the shisha is still good when I take off the foil. Any one else get this or is it just me? Oh ja, I also started getting a runny nose, not sure if it's from the coughing though
  20. If it's code, I don't want to know what "she farted on me" really means
  21. Poke all the way down. I tried packing it denser, as in, I cannot pack it down anymore without squishing out the juices and I can now use 4 halves, but more than that burns the bowl. Ahhh well, great clouds awesome flavour, less coals...why am I complaining?
  22. I pack it down all the way, can't fit anymore in there. Pretty much the same way as in John/Eric's vid. Smokes perfect with 2 halves, was just wondering
  23. Yep, my package was sent the 14th of October and, to this day, my tracking info still says "electronic notification received" and nothing else
  24. So I've been getting some good sesions lately, but its as though my Cocos burn way to hot. I have to use 2 halves on my medium phunnel or it becomes super harsh. I feel a little more heat would be good, but 3 halves kill it. Any one try using them in quarters? Also, how is it possible my medium can only handle 2 halves, but other people are throwing on 3 wholes or more? I pack Tangiers exactly like in Erics vid btw
