  1. Firstly, I'd definately support an online Australian Ma'assel store. Secondly, I've emailed Customs before, and yeah, ma'assel might only contain a small percentag of tobacco, but it's irrellevant: the taxes apply to *tobacco products*, not just the tobacco content of the product. Hence, the tax of roughly 284$/kg of tobacco product would apply if they decide to tax you. I've had several orders of varying sizes come through successfully from America and Israel. The two from America have been inspected by quarantine, and then resealed and came to me completely intact. Quarantine is quite seperate from customs, and customs are more busy with bombs and knives, etc, than tobacco. The parcels I've purchased from Israel have been without quarantine stickers... The smell of tobacco isn't that much of an issue... noone goes around sniffing international packages, believe me: I used to work for Post, and while I knew by smell when a package of tobacco came through, customs wouldn't necessarily.
  2. One thing I've found goes superbly with hookah is masala chai... part of my portable hookah bag is my teapot and cups with a sachet of my own chai blend... it's easy to make, is spicy and sweet and caffienated and just about everyone likes it.
  3. Ubuntu is very friendly and plays nice with the n00bs... you'll find it very similar to using a Windows or Mac OS desktop (both at once, really, since it has an open programs bar at the bottom and a file info bar at the top). Just play with it, you don't need to go learning UNIX Terminal controls just yet.
  4. So very beautiful... I'm not fond of the ridged QT-style stems on the first two, but the effect is still magnificent...
  5. Probably... it'd be pretty damn harsh, too, methinks.
  6. My order just arrived today, which isn't bad at all given I'm in Australia and only placed the order on the 5th of December. I ordered one of each of the following: - Saet Safa, double apple, 70g - Afzal, mango, 50g - Nakhla, sweet melon, 50g - Abed Elkader, Orange, 50g All were received rattling around (no damage, though) in a box with a few handfuls of expanded polystyrene chunks, and, gratis apparently, another 70g box of Saet Safa double apple... I'm not complaining, either myself or one of my friends will appreciate it, I'm sure. No customs declaration on the box, though... and it hadn't been opened/inspected (bless the Christmas season and its phenomenal mail volumes, curse it for making my work in the P.O. harder [laughs]). I was a little surprised on the website, when ordering, that there was no confirmation screen after entering credit details or anything telling you the postage cost, but given it was by far cheaper than getting anything sent from the USA, and they have a reasonable stock, etc, I'm quite pleased. At this point I'd order from them again and hope for an equally simple transaction.
  7. There was a very good idea on how to make a detachable diffuser recently. Hummingbird Diffuser It and a few other diffuser ideas are easily found by searching.
  8. Cool, I'll have to pop down and bring a few of my friends along one evening... How much will you offer me for it? [grins] I'm happy to trade for another flavour, too. PM me, either way, I use MSN.
  9. It's just a different orthographic representation (a code or cipher) of English... to uphold a definite in-group identity. The idea being that non-geeks will find it difficult to decipher, and thus won't read what it says... leaving the geeks to their own devices. [chuckles] 1|= `/0|_| (@|| |23@[) +|-|1$, `/0|_| |23@||`/ ||33[) +0 63+ |@1[). or, easier to read: 1f y0u c4n r34d 7h15, y0u r34||y n33d 70 637 |41d.
  10. Ah, hiya Damo, I'll be down in Melbangers in January for a week of immorality, nice city.
  11. Soex is sugar cane bagasse as a base... who knows what they add in relation to flavourings, though? Because it's not a foodstuff, it doesn't need a full ingredients list unless the manufacturer feels like it... I guess she could try a bit of the syrup on her skin and see if she has a contact reaction, if she really wants to risk it, that and make sure she has an Epipen on her. Is it really worth the risk and fuss?
  12. Lime shouldn't have done much damage, it's not much different to lemon... but it costs more, anyways, doesn't it? You could always try bicarbonate of soda, it deodorises and cleans and is cheap as chips.
  13. Hehe, I've just got into WoW myself... it's damn fun. I noticed someone mentioning above about it not being an RPG, you might be thinking of Warcraft, which isn't online, as opposed to *World of Warcraft*. Bit stupidly named, but meh.
  14. Ah, that site's just hilarious... [laughs]
  15. Heh, yeah, I know... but maybe there's a lurker just craving for some AF Strawberry? Doesn't hurt to try... [grins]
  16. Faithless are a British band... try "Insomnia" or "Mass Destruction"... it's good!
  17. Does anyone want to buy (make an offer)/trade 250g (minus a bowlfull) of AF Strawberry? Happy to post to Australia and Oceania. Thankee.
  18. Very interesting hookah, and a lovely tapestry... so much work goes into complete surface embroidery like that...
  19. The link between aluminium and Alzheimer's Disease is probably rubbish, there really isn't enough evidence to support the hypothesis... Alzheimer's is primarily due to amyloid plaques and protein tangles forming in your brain, which stops signals getting through properly... like pretty much every non-trauma related disease, it's partly genetic, some people are more or less high predisposed towards getting it; and it's partly environmental... oxidising agents, for example, can lead to it... such as the heap of junk in smoke. [laughs] I'm still going to keep smoking my hookah in any case... have to die of something, might as well be something you enjoy.
  20. Nice! What a bugger to live in PAL territories, and have to wait for it...
  21. Hee! A Brisbanite! If you want to come and have a smoke sometime, give me a PM!
  22. Just a quick question, what is the inside of the stem on a [url="http://www.myasaray.com/store/item.asp?ITEM_ID=890&DEPARTMENT_ID=46"]Mya Acrylic[/url] supposed to look like? Mine seems quite rough inside.
