Seems like a lot of people simply put it shiny side down because that's how they were taught to do it. I fit in the same boat. Have tried it the other way round and found no difference at all, except that it isn't as aesthetically pleasing to my eyes.

I am partial to listening to some 2pac whilst smoking. Some of the more chilled out songs though.

The ones at hookah-shisha are all really plain and ugly. I'll keep in mind to check out the arab markets should they exist when I get to San Francisco.

How rude of me to not post here first ! Oh well better late then never. Hey guys ! Been lurking around these forums for a while now and decided I might as well join the community.

I am going to be buying a KM stem and I am now hunting around for a nice vase to pair up with it. I am looking for either an orange/amber vase or a red vase. I found one I really like but it turns out it probably wont be big enough for the stem. I have looked at saharahsmoke, hookahcompany and a whole bunch of other sites but haven't found anything that really looks nice. I guess I should also say that boho's are out of the question simply because I don't want to spend more then $50 on any vase.
