Hi! We have some MYA Orbiters on stock in our Swedish store, also some more coming in the next few days. Have a look at http://www.argilion.com/ and send me an email if you are interested. The site and prices are in Swedish, but I'm sure you will be able to figure out what is what Hookah in Swedish is "Vattenpipa". If you are interested we can figure out some shipping prices and see if it's worth making a deal. Regards, Erik +46733664151

QUOTE (Zerodynamic @ Apr 1 2007, 09:04 AM) Fake Al-Fahker? Wow. I would highly suggest you shop online then my friend. Its pity that it happens over there when you guys live closer to the UAE then we Americans do. Even in UAE you can stumble across fake AF, unfortunately :/ Erik

QUOTE (afrdzak @ Jan 18 2007, 09:47 PM) QUOTE (erik @ Jan 18 2007, 10:42 AM) QUOTE (afrdzak @ Jan 17 2007, 08:43 AM) Hej Erik, what part of Sweden do you reside? I've been tinkering with the idea of moving back to Stockholm and opening a hookah lounge there. Hej! I live in Södertälje, just south of Stockholm. Opening a hookah lounge sounds like a good idea, let me know if you need someone to help you I have a few plans in the line of a hookah lounge in the area myself. Only problem is of course the smoking ban, which limits hookah smoking to a designated room where drinking/eating is not allowed - or outdoors during spring/summer. Actually, i didn't know about the smoking ban. So it applies to Hookah's as well? Interesting... Is it possible to create a dedicated hookah lounge that serves drinks and snacks? It's different than having a restaurant that serves hookah. Yes it applies to hookahs as well. The smoking ban even explicitly mentions hookah smoking in the paragraph about what kind of activities are allowed in a smoking room - you are allowed to put more coals on a hookah but not serve drinks or food. However I have heard about some places going for the hookah lounge thing anyway (there is one in Gothenburg), so it might be something stupid like no real punishments for bringing food to the smoking room if you don't have an alcohol license or similar. It is something worth looking deeper into. Also some places continue to serve hookahs since they are set up as a "closed membership club" or something, so that might also be a way to get around the ban. In any way, it's not as easy as it should be :/ Outdoors is a whole different story - so enough heat sources and you could probably create some really cool all-year outdoor lounge Erik

The Swedish national tv channel discussed hookah smoking tonight. First time it got this big "official" coverage as far as I know. For those who know Swedish: http://svt.se/svt/jsp/Crosslink.jsp?d=2262...amp;lpos=lasmer It seams to be based on the WHO report that states that hookah smoking is at least as dangerous as cigarettes. I would guess it's the usual one which we have seen discussed lots of times before. Their first conclusion was that hookah smoking isn't as healthy as many young people think, which is entirely rights since lots of people seam to think that shisha doesn't contain nicotine or anything dangerous at all. But then they go a bit too far and states that a one hour hookah session equals the crap you get from 100 cigarettes! Who's up for making a movie and put on youtube where we smoke 100 cigarettes in one hour and compare to one hour of hookah? The excercise would probably include not feeling to weel for a few days after all those cigarettes... Erik

LondonShisha, Sure, we could probably arrange with something. Price for a QT would be around £29 + shipping. Send me an email (at erik@argilion.com) with your address if you are interested so I can get you a quote on shipping.

Lukasa, We have lots of Nakhla, some Al Waha and El Basha and more recently a lot of fake Al Fakher has started to show up. Most of it is "privately imported" to the store that sells them. Might be some larger "private importers" that sells to several stores as well. The only place I've seen so far that sells tobacco and pays taxes is Vattenpipan.com, our dear competitor in the online hookah business in Sweden. You can usually tell by the now mandatory warning signs on the packages..

Thanks Sonthert and Skimo! Sonthert, Of course we'd like to offer some fine Tangiers Tobacco as well Only thing is the problem of extreme taxes on tobacco here in Sweden. We have to pay more then $100/kg in a special tobacco-tax... Do you have 50g-packages? I think it will be easier to sell those price wise, then the 250g-packages which becomes really expensive with our taxes. Maybe I'll PM you during the weekend and we can discuss some more

Just wanted to say thanks to this forum for contributing to my inspiration to both start up a Swedish hookah forum and today launch the first Swedish online store for high quality hookahs. If you are into Swedish or Scandinavian languages, please stop by at www.argilion.com to see the pipes we have in store. We are starting out with a selection of MYA hookahs and are open to special arrangements when it comes to shipping etc. Just drop us a line at info@argilion.com if you have any comments, suggestions or questions. mya qt hookahs in the uk?
erik replied to London786's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
What are your price limit for a MYA QT+shipping? We have some QT's coming in and are launching our Swedish hookah site in a few weeks. Might be possible to arrange with something for some of you UK people as well, if we can find reasonable priced inter-EU-shipping. Erik -
Al Fakher websites -which is fake?
erik replied to rishi's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
I agree that the fake one is pretty good, but not as good as the real Al Fakher and plays more in the league of the everywhere-present Nahkla.Makes me sad though, since it makes it hard to find the real stuff.I also heard something about that the Nakhla that we can buy pretty much everywhere, is also some kind of lower-class/fake Nakhla? Wherever I heard/read that said something about that the real Nakhla always comes with a colorful stripe around the package? Whereas the other just has a red stripe.Or was this just a rumor of some sort? -
Public Hookah Smoking Ban for UK
erik replied to ghostofdavid's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
Here in Sweden, private clubs are also affected by the smoking ban. So you should verify what the upcoming law has to say about it. -
The only place, so far, to buy hookahs online here in Sweden is at a place called Vattenpipan.com.Thing is that they are selling a hookah that they call "mini MYA", which I am very sure is actually not a MYA but instead a Mitsuba.Pictures and description:http://www.vattenpipan.com/shop2/shItem.asp?id=430http://www.vattenpipan.com/shop2/shItem.asp?id=356Am I right or is there some hidden model of MYA that I haven't seen, that sometimes come in a box labeled Mitsuba (saw this hookah live yesterday and it was in a Mitsuba-box even)? Is this something that happens also in other places? What can be done about it? I find things like this to be rather annoying for some reason...Erik

Public Hookah Smoking Ban for UK
erik replied to ghostofdavid's topic in Discussion Group for all Hookah Lovers
As I might have mentioned earlier, there is a chance that these kind of smoking bans don't apply to herbal shisha, like Soex or the new Hookah-Hookah Black Label.Once this is verified, maybe we could get the hookah-lounge culture back, leading to an increase in sales of herbal shisha, which then could lead to more research for better quality herbal shisha.
