I was lifting religiously 3 days a week and running for track everyday for track season, while smoking hookah every weekend and I didn't feel any difference. My brother is in the Air Force academy and he thought it actually helped him run better because he didn't train as hard for his Physical Fitness test but still ran the same time compared to his last test, which he actually quit smoking hookah for a while and trained hard for it. It could be psychological, whether it's thinking that it's good for us just because you take in big hits constantly, or bad because of the fact that it's smoking.

If you setup a hookah perfectly and use QL's, then it shouldn't ruin the flavor of it. What can ruin the flavor while using QL's are overpacking the bowl, lighting a coal while it's on top of the bowl, and/or putting a coal on a bowl right after it's done sparkling or lighting up. I've used regular coals as well and they are good, but what gets me is the waiting time to light up the coal like what others said. If I do need to use more coals with QL's I can easily cut one coal in half and use an already lit coal to start that coal, which you can't do with naturals. What coals you use are up to you. They both serve their purpose, BUT MAKE SURE you get a reliable brand. Not all brands of coals are the same. Since I use QL's, try using 3 Kings, Starlights, or Golden if you are gonna get QL's.

I'll try the bowling water and baking soda thing. I just wanna make sure it wont destroy the bowl in any way. I'm gonna do it to my two Egyptians and Phunnel.

Is there any way to get rid of the black buildup left on the bowl?

I should get one of those. I dont like the flexibility of vinyl tubing. The only time I really use it is when I want a really long hose haha. nd picz of ur gf plz thx

What kind of coals are you using?

Haven't tried Al Fakher Watermelon. I have Layalina Watermelon though. Delicious!!

Nakhla Strawberry Setup: Caravansarai Egyptian 22" Smell: Pretty good. Smells like a candy strawberry flavor: It's okay. You can KIND of taste it. I'd say a medium flavor. Smoke: Fairly thick IMO, I really like to taste the shisha I get. This doesn't really do it for me. overall: 7/10

I have the exact same one but it's red . It was my first hookah as well. Now it's collecting dust on top of my desk haha.

Not really new to the hookah and all, but I just found out that there are many different "hole" formations when poking the foil. In your opinion, what would be the best hole formation when you poke the foil? Edit: Totally asked the wrong question, I mean what kind of hole formation do you prefer? NOT what you use to poke the holes . *Revised post to ask the question I really meant

Thanks for the suggestions. I actually boiled it and it turned out to be more flexible, but I got carried away so I overboiled it causing it to rip haha. I'll probably get a 6 ft. one then boil it for a while. Should work.

Did this, and everything is perfect except the fact that the hose isn't flexible. Is there anyway to make it flexible? Or should I buy a longer tube (I only got 3ft.)? Any solutions? Edit: And yes, the inflexibility is knocking over my hookah. Now there's 2 more holes in my carpet
