Hoohak is nothing to be ashamed of. You are an adult. You are not breaking the law. Leave the shishia by the pipe when they come over. When they look at it, pick up the tobacco, open it & say something like "yea, and the tobacco mix is so full of fruit juice & molassas you have to keep it lit with charcole" I had no problems with my family. Most were US military and knew of them there. My other side is a bunch of Iranians . NOOOO problemo there.

If you take your coffee very strong - as I do - then it's your own fault Coat that toung with thick, heavy liquid & then expect to taste delicate smoke? U crazy ?

Victim026 I have a question: Just your own opinion now. Do you think the damage was caused by "simple vandles" or do you think there was the - Muslims smoke those water pipes, so this place must be bad - mintality? There is a lot of that crap going on right now. It's sad, but it is happening. .... your take please.....

Hey Cerritus, getting back to your recipe. I'm sure it's jut the anial retentitive chef in me but since you did not give quantities, let me ask: Just enough honey to totally soak in to the tobacco and no more that a Tablespoon of spices to 1 pound of finished mix? And what about the gleserin (d*$% I can't spell tonight) that AKammenzind mentioned? I'd like to try this.

That green pear near the top really accents the whole piece. Now I'm starting to want something like that.

Another member had suggested to me that I use orange zest in with the shishia for added flavor. This idea should work too. I'd mix it well first & not put it on top. Give it a try. You won't hurt anything, and at worse you just won't like it. Personally I'd like you to post back so I'll know what you did & what you thought.
