  1. QUOTE (Geiseric @ Oct 28 2007, 05:32 PM) That is a good point, I try to scrub them every time, but there is those corners in the hollow of the bowl that are impossible to get to... Did you stop smoking and move your coals around when it harshes up? Sounds like it may just be a burned spot that you just keep smoking past. Try taking off all of the coals, cool the bowl off by blowing through the non-bowl end, and then putting the coals back on.
  2. The tobacco you smoked is called Zhagoul (or something similar, Mushrat back me up with the spelling). It's the original hookah tobacco, no molasses, no additives. Total flavor country.
  3. QUOTE (RayVer @ Oct 28 2007, 06:20 PM) and thats where the phunnel bowl comes in shisha juice NEVER leaks with a phunnel bowl by the nature of the design Tangiers smoked in the phunnel leaves the strongest colored water of all setups when we wash the vases out at Hookah Bliss. The shaft down the middle of it also accrues a significant amount of shisha juice.
  4. You can pry my QT from my cold dead hands. They smoke wonderfully, nearly un-knock-over-able, and don't have the awkwardness of a larger hookah. They smoke as easily as anything else (especially if you're using a wider hose), and most of all they're durable. Some of them get smoked three times a night with full washes in between, and aside from one getting shattered a few weeks ago, all are still going like champs.
  5. QUOTE (ASUSEAN1 @ Sep 13 2007, 09:51 PM) yes i like mush's design but it doesn't clean hoses and stems too I'm the stem cleaning attachment.
  6. QUOTE (mushrat @ Sep 30 2007, 02:02 PM) One guy thinks he detects soem sort of cooling, either mint or some menthol type flavour, I'm the "menthol" guy. At one point Mushrat brought out a fresh bowl, and it tasted like cherry cough syrup, and then mellowed out to a more cherry cough-drop flavor. Maybe DXM is the undertone? There's a period after it starts, but before it gets too stale that is really nice though.
  7. At our hookah bar (and by 'our' I mean Mushrat's), we go through way more Tangiers that you'd think for a casual crowd. We're often limited by the number of funnel bowels we have, and need to direct people to the other flavors. Kashmir Peach is our house favorite, so there's definitely nothing inherently wrong with the shisha. The best things I can suggest are the following: Let to tobacco air out for a good 6-8 hours (set it out the morning before the party). Smoke it in a Tangiers funnel bowl packed hard into the doughtnut for the shisha and keep the airway clear of crumbs and tendrils of shisha. Poke two concentric rings of holes in your foil, so the majority of the heat is pulled over the shisha. Try to keep a relatively low amount of coal (all natural of coures) spread around the outer edge of the bowl, over the holes. Rotate the coals around the outside to prevent hot-spots. Hope this is helpful.
