[/quote] In the base it's a bad idea, but I don't see the co affecting you in any way when put in the ice chiller. [/quote] CO2 is heavier than atmospheric air. Therefore it will never rise and be inhaled via the bowl. We use PTFE Teflon tape on all threads (high temp).

It's been a long time since my last post, but I've decided to be more active in the community again. A friend and I recently set out to perfect the hookah experience. First we added active carbon to the in water defuser. That really cut down on the harshness (not that out smoke is harsh). The flavor was really intense with the carbon filtration. Later that week we bought the Mya cold hose. I highly suggest that hose for anyone! To top it off we purchased an ice chamber and use it to house crushed dry ice. No no no no no, that ain't shit. JK, cool idea. I just had a vision of an AWESOME design idea. It's a pirate ship hookah. You know it would be freaking awesome. "Puff, puff, ARRRRR" Haha, hell yeah. Can you tell I'm stoked about this idea. Pained brown, or even real wood on the outside. I would hella smoke from it and count my gold. Since I don't have gold, I'll count quarters. I have been deciding on a design for my hookah I will build, and I think I have a winner. My only only problem would be the part that the bowl attaches onto. I was thinking something like a threaded metal cone like my pumpkin. Thing is, I don't know where to find one. Where can I buy metal cones? I'll have to drill and tap it myself I guess.

I'm LOVING the tray supports! Ghetto or not, that's awesome in my eyes. The latex hose is a great idea. I was thinking of making a home make hose, and this solved all my "fears". Good show.

A bit of clarification. We just got back from the pool and had board shorts on, we weren't naked. I was using a Nikon D40 with a Nikkor 18-55mm zoom lens. Aperture was set at f4. Yumm, Fantasia margarita!

Well, my friend's new place. I was getting used to my new dSLR and decided to take a few pictures of out first session in the place. I'm in the 1st picture. Personally, I don't like my friends hookah, but it did the job.

What have you added to the water that has yielded good results? Lemon juice, vut lemon/limes, fruit juices, alcohol, etc.. I want to try a few new things with my friends, but I want to play it safe by finding out what's safe to use. Thanks.

My friends and myself have been smoking hookah for a few months now. After a trial and error we almost have it down. We've just been trying different bowls and tobacco. I figured I'd join a forum and learn some techniques others are using. So far from a few posts I've learned alot. Just like to say "Hi" to everyone.
