that happened to me. its not the coals. When you think the coals are done, leave them on 2 or 3 minutes longer, the inside isnt hot enough yet so when you takea hit your taking in unlit coal smoke. Leave them on the stove longer and you wont have that problem anymore

Probably only used it 20 times and it was rusted. I NEVER WASHED IT. I just made a hose though, only cost me 6 bucks. Go to home depot, get some vinyl tubing and just put it right on the mouthpiece of the mya hose (take the hose apart first). Youll get thicker smoke and no crappy taste. Plus you can wash it forever.

So lately i noticed i was getting some odd flavors with my standard mya hose so i decided to make a new one. i used the end pieces from the hose and just fitted some vinyl tubing to the mouthpiece. IT WORKS GREAT! No more of the weird flavor thank god. However, now that i know what nakhla should taste like i still dont really like it all that much. Can anyone reccomend a brand (besides starbuzz which is so expensive!) that is good, fruity, and gives good smoke. Brand and flavor reccomendations would be appreciated.

theres a reason no one has ever heard of Rosetta. It just plain sucks. It tastes more chemical-ish than a marlb red cigarette. really terrible. Out of the package it smells amazing but it tastes terrible and the smoke density isnt so great either. I'd stick to what you know. The flavor i had was strawberries and cream.
