In an episode of entourage there is a scene of them smoking a hookah. Can't remember which one off the top of my head though.

yumm... charcoal... lol. Thanks for the tips guys, for some reason I had it in my head that the coal had to go over top of the hole.

Ill try adding more heat next time - will it still smoke properly if you don't have the coals over the screens hole?

Hey guys, I recently got a Mya QT, small glass phunnel bowl, scalli mod and glass screen from MNHookah. I tried smoking out of the glass phunnel bowl with the scalli mod and screen on. I didn't get very good results... smoke was thin. I was smoking Fantasia Rasperry Lemonade (free sample - thanks MNH!). I was using one 3king 33MM coal - wasn't sure if you could put more coal on as there was only one big whole in the middle of the screen. I wasn't able to put much tobbacco in at all (are you supposed to pack some tobacco on the edges of the scalli?) After a while I put foil on and it was smoking good for a while then I got a tingly chemical taste in the back of my throat - guess I added too much heat (had 2 coals not all the way on). After about 40 minutes I wanted to test out the QT's full potential so I packed my large tangiers phunnel and it smoked like a champ. I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to get the the small glass phunnel with a scalli and screen smoking to its full potential. Thanks!

When your health care is government paid how does it not make sense to tax tobacco more... if you have more people smoking health care costs will go up. I live in Canada and the shisha prices are insane, so I order online haven't been caught for duty yet

Nice order! I actually have a QT coming in from MNHookah as well - except its a sky blue base, bought one of their small phunnel bowls too. Definitely going to have to buy a blue razan - that thing looks awesome. Let me know how the grenadine is... I just bought some AF that I haven't opened yet (mint, mango and grape)

Hello all, I'm from Canada and I'm visiting New York for the remainder of the weekend. I was wondering if anyone knew of any hookah stores in New York, New York near times square? I don't really have any hookah stores where I live, and the places that do sell hookah's and accessories sell them at a very steep price. If any one knows of store near this area please let me know! From reading this thread I want to try these natural coals. Would you guys recommend the Coco-nara ones? I've heard they make your shisha taste like coconuts? Is this just a rumour? I'm not the biggest fan of coconuts...

Yea, that sucks. The problem is too many people don't know about the hookah and assume that it is used to smoke drugs... when I was at a party my friends hookah almost got confiscated by the police because they thought it was being used for drugs.

Just bought the Mya Obelisk with a Nammor hose from Hookah-Shisha.com... can't wait to get it in and try it.

Would a Nammor hose and phunnel bowl fit a Mya Obelisk?

Hello all, This is my first post. I'm relatively new to smoking the hookah and after discovering these message boards I have a few questions. 1) I'm looking to get a new hookah. When I picked mine up I wasn't really sure what I was getting and to this day I'm not sure of its brand. It smokes decentely but I find you have to pull rather hard to get a nice sized pull. I was wondering what makes of hookahs are good? I was reading the product review section and noticed the Mya's and KM's. I want to get a quality hookah that will last. Are there any other brands I should be aware of? What are some of the pros and cons of the KM's and Mya's? 2) Should I invest in a hose? I like to get massive drags... will a new hose help or will the stock Mya/KM hoses be good enough? 3) I've been reading about phunnel bowls, but haven't found out what they are good for. Are they better? If so, what is it that makes them better? Pretty much I love to smoke the hookah and need some help to build a good setup. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
