jelatin
I just broke my MNH glass phunnel while wiping it down with a wash cloth in the sink.... I was holding it in my hand and wiping it down and about 1/3 of the bowl just cracked off. Anyone ever had this happen? From what I know about pyrex it's really really strong. As much as I'd like to think I could break it with just my hands...I don't think that's supposed to happen. I just got this a week ago too BLEEDING
Barnzy02
i don't own a mnh hookah pyrex bowl, but its not uncommon for a bowl to break. I'm not at liberty to speak about it.
Allia22
If I got one of those, I'd give it a week tops before I somehow broke it >.<

ASUSEAN1
I think i have broken atleast 5 bowls in the past 2 years. Contact MN and see if they can help you out, otherwise buy a couple bowls so that way you don't have to wait for your next smoke session when this happens again.. MrBubbler
seeing that i used to blow glass in high school it wouldn't be that hard to work with some thicker tubing and work it down to a nice super thick bowl, and due to the fact glass conducts heat very well it wouldnt kill the ideal of the glass bowl. Im still waiting on a glass funnel bowl with mod and glass screen -= ) i think alot more can be done with the screen but then again i can see how hard it would be to make to boot. Best bet would be to have one cut and holes drilled in it so its a perfect shape and hole are the right size where you dont have to worry about coal touching the shisha. in due time, i bet smiley has something up his sleeve yet to be perfected -=) Edited April 17, 2007 by MrBubbler
NargileClub
QUOTE (jelatin @ Apr 17 2007, 12:37 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>I just broke my MNH glass phunnel while wiping it down with a wash cloth in the sink.... But I think I know what Happened to your bowl. Because the Mnh Funnel bowl is two pieces Melted together. A Bowl shape and a Pipe shape. The weld betweeen the two pieces is a potenial weak spot. When glass is flucuated rapidy from heat in this case Charcoal. The change in heat can cause stress to that weld. Plus the dropping also starts stress at that weld. so rapid change in heat messes with the glass. My bowls are made from one piece of glass stock. So they can handle the heat stress better. there is no speed bump for the flow of heat. It just distributes the Heat evenly. Yes i do blow my own Glass with another Master Glass Artisan. This is why we have not tried to make a funnel bowl. Instead we came up with Smiley's Tulip Bowl. One piece of glass.... a direct flow of air and a Half inch gap space between the Smiley Glass Screen and The Shisha. This gap between the shisha and the Glass Screen helps keeping the Shisha from burning. Although you can only use the Smiley Glass Screen with it. Because of its shape. Foils is not really a opption or a metal screen. When I figure out how to make a one piece funnel bowl. Eric will see it first for approval and then you will see it next. Yes I am trying to come up with a design. But it has to work with the Heat changes. Also has to be one piece of Glass. So undestand this: This is not a slam on MnHookahs products at all. I know what I know. Hope this helps and becareful. Glass is FragileSmileyDJ : I would like you to PM me. You seem to be haveing alot of problems with my products and my products only. I would like to help you out. Because no one else is haveing so many problems like you. From my Cherry shisha and now aparently one of my Bowls broke in your hand. Which is funny we use German Grade Glass Stock the best you can get. Also we Needle the Bowls in a Kiln for 32 hours. This helps with durabilty. So let me help you out. I'm sure there is a reson that all of your Smiley Product are not giveing you the satisfaction you diserve. but it seems everyone is happy. Also I have yet to recieve a PM from you directly about any complaints from you. But there are threads and responses that say something else. That somethindg is maybe your just unhappy with my products. so lets figureit out and come to a solution.Smiley

captainhook
Yea ive had a pyrex bowl break on me once. However it didnt happen when i was washing it. It straight up shattered during a session. I only used it like for a few hours which kinda pissed me off. I was fortunate enough to have socialsmoke (where i bought it) give me a replacement. Reading all these other posts i guess what happen to us is rare....

oriteku
Sorry to hear about your bowl man, we had two of the smily pyrex bowls at the shop. I got the news today that one of our regular customers dropped both of them off of our top shelf =(. We put them out of each so people dont touch them lol. One bounced about waist high and the other shattered. The one that shattered was the store test smoke bowl too I mourn its loss =_(
melik_el_shisha
the first day i bought my hookah, i was trying to install the bowl. I broke it. then my roomate started making fun of me and said that you need to take it easy, he put another head on and broke it too. Its a good thing we had 3 heads to start off.
