Buying A New Large Hookah, Advice?

Recommended Posts

I've been using my QTfor about two years now and while I'm relatively happy with it, it's not terribly efficient when it comes to social smoking. So, its time to bite the bullet and put in an order for a new one. I'd like something in the range of 30+ inches, with at least two, preferably three hoses and a glass base, and I'm not too interested in modern-styles. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've been eyeing up Hookah-Shisha.com's syrian-style hookahs, specifically (in order) the three-hosed Snake model, the three-hosed Chiller model, and the three-hosed Glyph model. I'd really, really like to find something with an ice chamber, but I can make do without.

Has anyone had any experiance with these, or have something else to recommend?

Not one of the ones mentioned but I can vouch for the hookah-shisha engineer model. I have a single hose and it is bulletproof. Smokes like a dream and breaks down into sections for portability. Be aware that the brass model does get a certain patina to it, so if you want it to stay shiny buy the silver model. But I sorta prefer the distinguished look that the mildly tarnished brass gives.

Plus you can't go wrong with the customer service. Those guys do a great job.

The downside for some is the romman tobacco, but I'd suggest trying the romman lemon, it's really good.... and also the romman orange is good. Different in that it is more like an orange spice tea than a orange soda, but it is still a great flavor. Romman Strawberry does absolutely nothing for me.

Good luck.

Thanks friend, I was eyeballing the strawberry and I'm glad to get some news on it. I've bought accessories and shisha through hookah-shisha before, and they're certainly good. A little slow, but reliable. The engineer looks pretty fancy... is that the one you've got on your (awesome, by the way) apple-bowl site? I asked customre service, they claim all the syrians have auto-seals, but that particular one makes no such claim. What's the word?

khalil maamoon from hookah company.

Thanks much, I'll definitely check it out. It looks fancy, but I'd really like more hoses. I'm not too willing to buy another single-hose pipe unless it's a rotator. Still, if you recommend I'll certainly keep it in mind.

I have a 3 hose hookah ( AND HATE IT) so now i am going to be buying an Oracle (on social Smokes site) its like 30' and is beautiful and they smoke really well( they have them at the lounge i go to) Their us really no need for a multi hose hookah unless your smoking regularly with at least 4 people because the passing of the hose and sharing is a really big aspect of hookah. Whatever you do hope end up with i hope you enjoy it
