The fabulous Ian
Call me anal, call me shallow, but as much as I want one of MNhookah's glass phunnels (and that's quite a bit, mind you), every picture I've seen shows a bowl that sits on an angle. A bowl that's bent. Is this on purpose, and do they all come this way? Either way, I think I'm getting one, but a nice, straight up-and-down appearance is what I'm trying to achieve. Dignity, that's the ticket. :

Scalliwag
Does it work well Cym? Do you have to compensate with coal placement or anything? Glass seems like it would be tough to keep consistant. But it also seems like there would be a lot of pros to it as well.
NargileClub
I bought one. I really loved the color and the Thickness. But It doesn't stand so I never have used it. I think I saw in on our desk today. Hand Blown Glass is very diffficult to do by hand. But I have to say that our Smiley bowls are Hand made by us. We believe that every bowl should be the same and We make sure they stand. This is easier for loading. It is truly difficult to do this. Not to mention the Stress on your Wrists from hours of spinning a glass tubes in the palms of your hands. After several hours and many days. Your wrists and forearm get really big and you might get Carpel from the constant Spinning with out a Machine.Smiley

ASUSEAN1
as long as it doesn't sit crooked on the bowl its straight, i wouldnt worry too much about it
cymptom
Mine stands up fine, but the funnel hole itself is way off center. The funnel also sits very low, so I have to compensate by trying to tuck the foil down into the bowl a bit. I try to get the coals as low as possible because the trench is so narrowly deep -- honestly though, I haven't been able to get a really good, thorough smoke out of this bowl yet. I actually prefer making a fake funnel with foil in a mya bowl.I'm also wondering whether or not I was sent a large by mistake. I don't have it in front of me right now, but the diameter of the bowl is about the same as a soda can. Looks much bigger than the pictures I've seen of other smalls... Scarecrow
I have some issues getting mine to fit tightly onto my hookah. I have a few bowl gromets and all give the same result. Takes some time to fix.

The fabulous Ian
Hah, I can sympathize. Day after day of kneading ungodly amounts of pastry dough built up my forearms like nothing else ever has. At the end of the day, I respect anyone who can do the gig, and the bowls are beautiful. I just want one that I know will sit straight on the neck and smoke well.
ghostofdavid
My bowl is perfect in its imperfections. It smokes fine, with a little tilt and I love it.
djnick
i would like to add that, i have seen some mnhookah and smiley bowl that are far from perfect. Not sure if it was a bad batch or what. The crookedness of the bowl does not allow for proper heat dispersion, basically you will have one side that is cooking and one that is is barely heated. Also i have seen the phunnels sit too low, or out of place. The problem with hand blown product is that it takes a lot of patience, and in order to make them in quantity the quality will reduce. And yes each bowl will be unique, but unique also means uniquely faulty, so no one really knows what they are getting in the end, so just because it works for one person, doesnt mean it will work for everyone else.
