Problem With Tangiers, To Harsh

I recently bought a 250g sack from MnHookah of tangiers tropical fruit. The smell and flavor is great, but the harshness is just unsmokable. We even tried adding a little ice in the base of cold water, but to no avail. We have used the same setup on other flavors such as Al Waha and Al Frukhar and those have been perfect. Right now we have a 1.5foot hookah, and usually put 1 40mm 3 Kings coal on. Hole pattern has been the same, just a circle in the middle with another hole in the center. Is there any sepcial way tangiers has to be set up heat wise? I've heard nothing but great reviews of Tangiers here so this is all a suprise. Any people who have had tangiers experience, your input would be greatly appreciated!

You need to spread the heat. Try splitting the 40mm into halves and placing on opposite sides of the bowl, if that still doesn't work, try into quarters

-How much tobacco are you packing?
-Poke more holes
-Spread the heat out
-Nix the ice (I've read it makes it harsher)

1. break that coal in half and place it on opposite sides of the bowl
2. don't break up tangiers, try packing it the same density as the bag it comes in and just move it around inside the bowl to make it fit
3. cold base water will actually absorb less nicotine, makin it even stonger
