Problem With Shisha Loosing Flavor

I have an odd problem and I just don't know what to do, it's frustrating. I buy a new flavor of shisha, and the first time I smoke it I get great flavor, great taste. I usually buy al fahker. it happend with apple, apricot, and now banana. first time I try it wow! the flavor is great, second time I can taste it but it's not as good, third time I can barely taste it at all.it's happened with other brands too. doesn't matter if I acclimate it or smoke it right away, no taste. I tried cleaning out the hookah to no avail. I mean the shisha smells great, is all nice and wet but no taste. I don't stir the shisha much, just grab some that looks nice and wet and I stuff it very lightly in the bowl. it's a standard clay bowl. I try to be very carefull not to burn it or heat it up too much. I get great thick smoke, but no taste! tonight I am going to try a fresh hose as a last resort. is it just my tastebuds developing a kind of tolerance to the taste? but even if I wait a week, then try it again, nothing, no taste. any ideas or advice? I heard somewhere that maybe a smaller hookah would give more flavor? mines a big one with a big glass base. I just use normal water with no ice.

it could be a number of things..

1. make sure your hookah is very clean, this includes the base, stem, bowl, and hose. Use a stem brush and rinse out the base good. Also soaking it in lemon juice helps with the smell
2. Stir up the tobacco in the tub before packing a bowl
3. make sure your coals are lit completly

my guess is it is the hose, i have had sessions were the hose jus ruined it but now i have converted the problem hoses into clear tubing so i can wash them easier

are you storing your shisha in an air tight container? if not, that could be the problem also, or atleast not helping the problem.
