Sooooo Happy!

well, hello everyone...although this is my first time posting, I am NOT new to these forums! I've been doing my research and reading everything I can throughout these forums for about a month now...I'm so happy now that i got my own hookah and that its been goin pretty well so far! One thing that's different about this hookah is, that it will actually hit better with the shisha packed all the way to the top of the bowl...U see I've been smoking hookah for about a year now(obviously not my own), its my friends, and his is a 19 inch traditional egyptian(like the ones in social smoke). I'm used to packing his below the rim to get it to hit smooth, and then when i get mine, it started to hit like crap for the first few days...so i called the store I bought my hookah from (Caravan Trading Group) and they told me to pack it all the way to the top of the bowl so it could hit better....I thought it was strange, but i listened, and it worked! My hookah started hitting MUCH better and smother! ...I was just wondering if this has happened to any of you because I always thought that your supposed to pack it a little below the rim, so you don't burn the shisha...also, one time I left my shisha (Starbuzz-X on the Beach) in the bag upside down, and most of the juices leaked out of the can!!! Ever since then, the flavor hasn't been the same and its a little harsh...I was wondering if this would affect the way it would taste? On another note, I just finished recieving one of the new clay social smoke bowls (red), wind cover, hookah carrying bag, and a base protector...I will be posting reviews of these items once I use them! Yes, a lot of the flavor is in the juices. That's why you stir up shisha before smoking it. You want to make sure the moisture and flavor is distributed evenly in all the shisha. A lot of hookah smoke is really steam from the juices, so I'd expect you'd get thinner smoke without the juices as well.

Yes, a lot of the flavor is in the juices. That's why you stir up shisha before smoking it. You want to make sure the moisture and flavor is distributed evenly in all the shisha. Thanks for the replies and welcomes guys!!! but yeah, i guess I'll just have to throw the X on the beach out, I just finished smoking a bowl of SB wildberry it was gooood, so I think I'll just stick to that...

nice hookah, real good price too. enojy it btw the hose are gonna fall apart after awhile not the best hose, espically the tip of the hose. ive had bad times wit it, just warning you. but real good deal and welcome to the forum.

Welcome the world of hookah! I got my first instrument in Saudi Arabia in 1997. I was unskilled in proper hookah use, but I got educated fast. When I returned to the USA in 1998, I used up all of the tobacco, and could not find anymore! The first few times I smoked, I got a little nauseated, that was because I was 42 years old, and I had never smoked a cigarette before, and my lungs were not used to the smoke. But after a few experiments, and learning how to get adequate air to pull through the tobacco, it was smooth sailing from then on.

Just so you know, I've spoken with the owner of Caravan. She was able to provide me with the item number and non-personal information on the buyers. She has convinced me atleast that these folks weren't shills, so I've made the original post visible because it apparently was an honest appraisal of their experience. Unfortunately, the OP's refusal to provide any information when asked both in public and private to help us establish their status was answered with silence and finally vulgarity. So they are gone for good.
