BlearyCzech
I have some Al Waha After Nine which I acclimated for a few hours. I do not taste any mint and it is not as juicy as it was before acclimating. Was it a bad idea to acclimate or am i just not very good at setting up the hookah? It tastes a little harsh, but there is still a lot of smoke. I am storing it in a ziploc back with the original plastic wrapping that it came in, it was a 50g box. Should I find another way to store it? Any input would be greatly appreciated.Setup:34" Ebony 2-hose towerCold water in base1 1/2 lemonwood coals rotating about every 5 minutes.Shisha is packed very lightly and not to the top.EDIT: Just finished smoking it and there was still a lot of uncooked shisha in the bowl, but the top was burnt and sticking to the foil. It probably is just heat management, but I still have no idea why acclimating it caused it to be a lot less juicy. I put it in a ziploc bag and left it open for about 4 hours. Is it just the brands that do not wash the nicotine off that needs to be acclimated? Edited April 28, 2007 by BlearyCzech
misterbeetz
I would think that acclimation time should vary depending on the amount of shisha. I personally only let 50 g packs acclimate for an hour tops. If the amount is bigger then I acclimate it for a longer time. I don't acclimate for five hours unless it was a Kilo tub or something. This can also vary on how wet the shisha is and how wet you want it to be so I would think that this is a trial and error experience. For storage I suggest reusing an old Pharaoh's shisha container or just buying the container itself. I've bought some of these from Southsmoke. They are airtight with clamps and hold a little over 250 g:http://tinyurl.com/3cf9jz- misterbeetz Edited April 28, 2007 by misterbeetz

Those containers look really good, i think i'll try them out once I have a lot of a single flavor of shisha, right now I only have a bunch of 50g boxes of various flavors.
