Anyone Have Any Experience With This Hookah?

Well I've been saving up over the past year to buy myself something really nice for my birthday, for the longest time I thought it was going to be a badass stereo for my car. However I've stumbled across something that I'm not quite sure I can pass up and wanted to know if anyone had used one before. I realize that it's expensive out the ass at $850 so I'm not expecting more thne maybe one or two people to have used them. I guess I just figure I might as well haev the best of the best and spoil myself for once since I smoke twice a day everyday now. I've got $3000 or so saved up for my birthday, And would gladly take a downsize in the stereo for this piece do ya'll think it's worth it???

Daaamn....i dont think I'd buy something that nice that was BREAKABLE.
Don't forget the 15% discount...good luck finding anyone around here who can/has dropped 800 on ANY hookah.

I figured I'd be lucky if maybe one person had one, although I was more hopefully that maybe someone smoked one at Mya. That was a little bit more realistic. It's nice as hell and would definetly be a functional piece of art if I bought it, and I know damn well all my friends would be a little jealous. I'm just wondering if I wouldn't be better off just buying a different crystal based Mya for half the money.

Yeah, I definitley would'nt smoke out of that one but I would instead use it as a room decoration. I actually think of the crystals as room decorations as well. I say get a glass one and smoke out of that since most people won't notice the difference anyway aside from perhaps the fancy stem which you can custom order for a glass one anyway. If it it gets accidently broken, then you havent lost that much cash. Save the fancy stuff for decorative purposes.

Oh I'd definetly smoke out of it if I bought one, although I'm starting to think of how much shisha I could buy If I just get the other crystal based one that I like(Link Below). I don't think that it would be right to spend that kind of money on that hookah and then not smoke out of it. It defintely wouldnt be following me to the hookah bars, but it would get lots of attention in my house from me and my friends.

I have smoked out of one of the crystals.. it was nice!

edit: i think i am going to buy one off my friend.. he said he would give it to me for 180 awhile ago becuase he didnt care and the only time it has been smoked was the time I smoked it. Edited April 29, 2007 by ASUSEAN1

Yeah it'll fit right in as decoration, i'm getting ready to move and I'm devoting the extra bedroom in the new house to hookah. Decorating moroccan in that room, it'd be sweet....

Personally, I'd just hit up some markets or shops and find one just as nice, for probably alot less! Besides, I think seeing the hookah in person is always a good idea.

+1 to that. I love hookah, but, damn, that's a lot of money. You can get one that smokes great for a lot (and I mean a lot) less.

Hey if you have been saveing. Get it.... They are beautiful. I have a Gold stem with Strawberry Cloisene and Hose and Inlaye on the stem.Have images of Strawberries. Also I have a Colbalt Blue one with a Silver stem very simple in style and the other very ornaite. Now the tray might break because it is made of crystal also. The one that you are showing us. I have seen them up close. They just might break with the heat changes. But I have two of them I love them both. But because they are so expensive. i bought them wholesale. Way different Price. But again get it. It is beautiful. You might want to find a metal ashtray to fit inside of the crystal tray.

My alternative is one of there normal crystal bases, the ones that go for around $400, I tried to link to the exact one I want from hookah-shisha but it won't let me. I didn't want to temp fate. So I use a Eygptian Tray with a wide mouth opening and place it on top of the cyrstal. To protect it.

I would pass... smoking out of that would never allow me to relax and smoke the shisha as HaShem intended it to be.

I just received the hookah you are interested in on Friday (had to wait 2 months for our distributor to get it in) I ordered the blue and gold.

Here are a few thoughts.

Big build up (only seen one in pictures) I walked into the store and saw it assembled on the counter and my immediate thought was "THIS IS IT?"

This hookah is a little top heavy due to the heavy glass ash tray on top.

Also, you can see the aluminum stem piece through the glass stem piece.

Dont get me wrong, it is beautiful, but worth +/- $800?


I also brought home one of MYA's new pyramid base hookahs and I'll be honest, I enjoyed that one even more than the "special" hookah (maybe because it cost a tenth of the other hookah and I wasn't scared of droping it or bumping it over?)

So, just to confirm what some of the other enthusiasts brought up, a nice hookah for your collection, but not a daily smoker

You are correct. I was looking at the bottom specificaly, and there is no bottom.

There is no thick glass were the bottom should be.

I see now how yours broke so easily.

Yea........ soooo.. I have smoked out a few of these.. honestly.. the smoke is the same as any other mya... its the crystal you are paying for.... and.. I would imagine mostly for decoration more then funtionality...

What sucks is that you can't put coal in the crystal tray....

The sad part of it is they are not crystal, These hookahs are hand blown and decorated GLASS.

The other Crystal MYA's had stickers that read CESAR CRYSTAL.

Also confirmed with our distributor, not crystal but hand blown glass.

This makes this hookah priety much just a status piece (the most expensive MYA made!!!)
