ng731
Hello i am new to the forum and hookah, and i have a few questions.I was also wondering if it makes a difference, perfomance and taste wise, if it is glass or acrylic? How much of a difference does the size make also?I've never had tangeirs before but does it truely give as much as a buzz and rumored? hookahhippo
A Hookahs size is very important to me. It has been my experience that the mini hookahs and really any hookah under 26 inches does not really hit as well as the bigger ones. If you are looking for a lot of smoke and a big buzz, you should definitely go with a bigger hookah. I have not tried tangiers but I have heard that it is a bit stronger and harsher than other shisha types. Our website is currently looking into to carrying it in the near future. I hope this helps and good luck finding a hookah that works for you. If you have any other questions feel free to pm me. Sincerely,BenHookahHippo.com
djbomberto
honestly i dont think size makes a difference. But i would say if you have a "Pumpkin" hookah then yes it will suck. but A MYA QT yes its short but man it hits freaking hard.Tangiers some people have better luck than others. IF you willing to try it out. i would recommended this since you'll save money and get a variety http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?cPat...products_id=102 Glass vs Acrylic, that too me is more of a personal preference. Doesnt affect the performance or improve smoke or anything like that. For starters i would look at http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?cPat...75f45ba9eda21f8http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?cPat...;products_id=29http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?cPat...;products_id=
KillZedKill
I own a MYA QT, and it really works well! You can't go wrong and for the price its definately a great deal, also, if you get something too big, you wont be able to store it. Butif storage is not a problem, and you can have the hookah just sitting in your room somewhere, I say go for the gold! Get a monster. =]
Victim026
I have both acrylic and glass myas(about to buy a crystal mya) and honestly it's more about appearance then it is smoke quality. If your willing to sacrifice a little beauty for the same quality of smoke then acrylic is fine. The other plus is that the acrylic bases are alot more durable as well as a screw in base. This lets me haul the acrylics to parties and not worry about someone not being careful and accidentally knocking it over or someone picking it up wrong. I will also chime in about the size, I've had great experiences big and small alike, same thing as the other guy said, if storage isnt an issue go for a big one they hit alittle bit smoother... Its more about smoke chamber size and shape than total size.Yes. Tangiers can give quite a buzz
cemab4y
I have some large hookahs, and three small ones. I honestly cannot tell the difference in the "hit" between them. The small hookahs are, obviously, more convenient for transportation and travel. If you are looking for a really unique smoking experience, then try "Zaghloul" Egyptian tobacco. Unflavored (molasses only), no fruit added, it will knock your head clean off (metaphorically) of course.
ParryPerson
I have a very short mini "pear" hookah (12 inches!) from H-S and it seems to hit very well...I've heard people getting good stuff out of the pumpkins as well, I think it's more of a QC issue myself. Sonthert
The biggest thing I've noticed is the length of the downstem. The longer it is, the heavier and bubblier the hit. I have a couple that are borderline too short...they barely can get enough water over the stem before it starts coming up the hose. I prefer shorter ones. I wouldn't smoke out of an acrylic. Lets put it a different way...if acrylic was more expensive than glass, nobody would buy acrylic jars. Until China started making cheap jars, acrylic wasn't cheap enough to justify selling. The only advantage is that it doesn't break as easily as glass. I've only had two jars broken in the lounge in the past year...and one of them was 9 years old and never was dropped...it just gave up one day. Breaking jars shouldn't be too much of an issue if you are careful.
