cemab4y
To get a tighter seal on the grommets, I use a piece of plumbers' friction tape. You can obtain it at a hardware store. Cut a piece of tape, and wrap it around the grommet, and the stem will form a tighter seal, than the grommet alone. Also, on the upper stem, where the bowl inserts. Also- I bought ice trays at a novelty store. It freezes the water into 5/8 inch balls. They are just the right diameter to slip into the neck of a hookah reservoir. When the bubbles pass through the ice balls, they "dance", creating an interesting "show", and creating a pleasant "clatter" sound.

nofrendo
I use strechable silicone grommets... these aren't always big enough to seal so I usually put the plumber's tape underneath it and strech the gasket over it.
