Need Some Help Guys (buying A Hookah)

Hey I am new to the forums, but not to smoking hookah. I have had several good sessions at hookah bars throughout Seattle and such. A couple weeks ago my friend Jaime broke the base of my old hookah and after that I was just fed up. Now I want to buy a much better hookah. I quit going to hookah bars because of the inconsistency with their hookahs (especially how clean they were or lack their of), brands of shisha they used, and the hit or miss of having a good hookah.

I have been doing some research the past couple days on several different hookah sites such as (but not limited to):

Smoking-Hookah, Hookah-Shisha, Hookah Company, and Social Smoke

and today I came upon Hookah Kings, which has been very informative (especially these forums).

Well I am very avid about finding a preferably tall (30 inches or taller hookah) with a nice design and provides a (hell of a lot) of smoke. I am pretty much a hookah junkie when it comes to out smoking my lungs. I can usually blow out an impressive amount of smoke (sorry don't mean to be an ass/brag), but I am just trying to paint the picture. I can't even seem to get a buzz off of most hookahs so I wanted to up the whole experience and get something more of a challenge.

I do not want to ask too much of you guys, but it would be nice if you guys could steer me in the right direction. I have read many of the recent threads/stickied threads up at the top, which has been great.

Now all I need is to find the right hookah for me.

Price is not too much of a issue (just as long as I am not spending well over $150-$200 on a hookah).

Question 1: Of the hookah websites I mentioned up above or any others you have in mind (I really liked social smoke,, hookahcompany, and hookah-shisha), which of these sites are usually most consistent with having better hookahs?

Question 2: Which hookahs seem to be of the best kind? Premium, Mod, Rotating??

Though these three are what caught my eye. I have no clue if these would be deemed "worthy" or worth the time/money for a good hookah. I would like to buy a single hose because my last hookah was double hosed and didn't have as great of time with it. Plus it is just easier and more personal.

Question 3: Is there anything special about rotating hookahs?

Question 4: Are the premium/specialty MYA hookahs better for smoking or just mainly for looks and such?

I will just settle with this for now, but I do have a couple other questions in mind. Thanks guys! I am new as of today and I like this forum a lot already. If you could check out the hookahs on hookah-shisha website too and maybe post some thoughts that would be great too. I heard good things about all those sites, but i just ordered a new syrian hookah from Nazarhookah and i got a great deal. Customer service was great, Mahir is an awesome guy. Id check that site out too

Its a Syrian hookah and i got it for 119. Everyone that ive talked to about it says its good. But ya the customer service that he gives is awesome. u should contact him about it

Mainly I am looking for a hookah with just one hose opposed to two hoses (had that last time and I wasn't as impressed).

1. i havent noticed much of a difference.

2. i prefer mod and premium hookahs.

3. not really, if anything they have certain maitenance problems. Rotatering sections can rust, and i had some sealing issues between the stem and vase section.

4. they are really good hookahs, but mya's arent free from problems either. I bought a mya for my second hookah and enjoyed it, but i also moved on to others.

ok Take it from me. It is better to find a shop that has them. Go to down town if your downtown is half descent. I got a "Majdi Zedan" Egyptian hookan. not exactly sure but its taller than 30 in. a crap load of shisha, bag and box of coal, and an extra hose for about 80 dollars. Its very good quality but you need a good breath to use it which you say you do. Usually you can tell the quality of a hookah when you see it. In some shops, you can buy a base if you dont have the money to spend at the moment

I can tell you from experience, that hookah-shisha.com is excellent. Their customer service leaves nothing to be desired. I had a coupon that I didn't enter right, so my shipping wasn't free. I just emailed them and they sorted it all out, refunding the shipping to my card. When I emailed them, I wasn't expecting a response anytime soon, but they had replied within 10 minutes. Excellent, excellent customer service.

They've got pretty good prices too, even though you say that's not much of a factor.

The hookah I bought (1 Hose, 26" Sphinx) is excellent as well (am I saying excellent too much? Well it's true). The red paint/stain/whatever started to flake off when I washed it the first time, but it's covered by the base protector they threw in for free. Also, the bowl grommet doesn't work, but a little paper towel on the stem and we're all set to go.

Hookah-shisha.com has a great freebie package that they ship out with thier hookahs (the discounted/sale hookahs don't come with it, watch out). You get a ton of free stuff, and its all pretty dang useful and nifty.
