lazria
Ok, I read everything here I could find. Got my Smileys stuff today - yeah! Ok, popped the shisha (wedding) in the freezer for about 2 hours. While it was chilling, cleaned hookah, chilled some water, walked to supermarket for chow.Returned - assembled hookah, took shisha out of freezer, emptied into large container - srired it around and let it sit for about 30 min +/-. Loaded up bowl...(put remained back in cute black jar)Ok, then went to lite coal - 40mm Golden broken in half. After it ashed, laid one half on each side, drew once, shifted coals, drew again - then shifted once more and let sit undrawn for about 5 minAt first, taste was GREAT! Then i think it was too much heat and I noticed smoke rising from bowl and it started to taste rough. Removed larger piece - helped, but still tasted burnt. Removed all coals and screen, scraped off burnt shisha and replaced screen & 1 coal... was ok, but didn't give me the same taste as the beginning...Did I burn it (I do believe I did).....? Should I pack more, less coals, what? Somebody help this gurl out, please? Did get an hour off it and a little buzz, plus some nice clouds... AinSophAur
Try breaking the 40 mil cloal in 4 pieces and dont freeze the shisha. Also maybe use a little less shisha. Dont pack the bowl as tight. Trial and error.
ShishaFred
To see if its too tight , pick up the bowl and try to breathe through it from the downward tube. If you can't , then the shisha is too thight and the airflow will be bad. If 2 halves is too much , try 2/3. If that's not enough , try and move them together on the same spot. Once you find a technique that works for you , it's good for life.
ASUSEAN1
less coals, also if you burn the shisha you can take a few drops of water and drop it on the tobacco.. it will save the bowl.. but if you put to much water it wont smoke anymore
lazria
i made sure i didn't pack it too tight - i blew thru the bottom before placing a coal. I'll try 1 half first and keep alittle water on hand next time. I knew the glass would heat faster, but I was shocked at how fast and the fact I had smoking rising from the bowl - never had that before! Thanks, I'll try again when I'm not so dead-sick.... right now I can't eat, let alone try to THINK about smoking....
