Rust In Qt?

So I picked up a QT instead of a Diva to try it out.

I went home packed a bol and then looked at the diva and realized that there is rust in the metal part where the stem screws in? It also has it in the whole pipe from the bowl sits on.

Is it just me or is that really odd... I'll put up pictures soon hopefully even though I've smoked a few times outta it already after cleaning it.

BTW I actually get better flavor from it? Anyone have that too?

Yes, its probably rust. Not the kind that eats into metal so its just on the surface. Take an SOS pad or the like and scrub it off. Mya has stated that its the only rust you will have as its not going to put your hookah out of commission.

My QT is the same way, it's not rust. Just the texture of the metal.

Yeah, that's not rust, it's unfinished and unpolished brass (the inside of a QT stem)

which is kind of annoying as the unpolished surface is kind of porus and is a bitch to clean. They really should have made the shaft go all the way to the top. Edited May 2, 2007 by AinSophAur

I just got a new QT the other day and thought the exact same thing. But yeah, looks more like unpolished brass, so no worries

It smokes like a champ and I can't wait to get a Diva soon.
