Joper
Hello. Im pretty new to this forum. I have read here for a while but i decided to be a member today to be able to post. Im going to buy a new hookah. I was thinking about spend about 50-60 bucks on a nice one but then i saw this one: http://www.lemirage.se/Thumb2.asp?path=8272.jpg (the red one is the color i like the most) I saw this pipe in a store for only 20 bucks (im swedish so i dont really know but thats about how much it cost in us money) The pipe is 17". Is that a good lenght? Is that a small or junior size? Does anyone have this kind of pipe who can tell me what you think?Sorry about the bad writing but like i said, im swedish Edited May 4, 2007 by Joper
Altron
I had a pretty good experience with a pipe very smiliar to that one (black one). I suggest getting a light/clear colored one because with black it was a pain to see the water level.Other then that it should be perfect for your first pipe! Joper
Yes i was thinking that, im getting the red one so i can sew the water level easy. Im not new to smoking hookah, many friends have pipes that we smoke very often but this is my first.
Altron
tru, but I said for your first pipe and not saying that you were a newbie or anything. Also, it's different to actually own one and set it up then smoking it with friends.
Joper
Didnt mean it like that. Just so you didnt rekomend anything that is good for a few sessions but then i would like another one. But i think i buy this tomorrowso it doesnt get sold, its a very good price
leadpipecinch21
i have basically the same pipe, though the stem isn't color coordinated, just brushed aluminum, and i must say it's a pretty decent hookah. It doesn't compare to the nice egyptians or myas that are in the hookah bars around me, but for a personal smoker, it does the job just fine. Just make sure all the grommets are tight...my hose grommet never worked, so i've had to BS one using paper towels since i got it.
sabsz
I would personally get a more expensive hookah, because people say you get what you pay for. Im not saying Get a super expensive hookah. Get one that you can be sure that its good quality. I Think that hookahs there in the pics are iffy, you can get either a DECENT one or a BAD one, ive had two similar to those and i dont recommend them. The first one broke very very easily like at the part where the threads are to screw the stem on.. and the second has some sessions good some sessions bad its too hard to get the setup right even if you tink you do the same thing everytime the slightest error made my sessions go bad with it. I suggest like a 22" to 36" EGYPTIAN hookah to suit your needs better. I've only had experience with one site so far, that being NazarHookah, the customer service is so so good, and the shipping is fast. I also got a forum discount and a good price as compared to other sites that sell the same or similar hookah ( i bought a 26" comet rotator). I suggest checking out the site for a good deal on 22" egyptians like for around $40 USD thats without the forum discount that you would get anyways good luck with your purchase.-Sabsz Edited May 4, 2007 by sabsz
FlyingRock
MYA's are very good hookahs in that price range. There's other hookahs around that price as well, surf the forum a bit, hop into the chat, i'm sure you'll get the best bang for your buck (so to speak)
Joper
Ok. Thanks for the tips. The only bad thing is that i cant order from the US. The ship cost is way to expensive. Is larger hookahs better then a bit smaller ones? This hookah that i looked on is onyl cheap in that store, in other its about 400-500 bucks for the same. But it is a chinese hookah but that doesnt matter to med as long as it s working fine.
sabsz
Im in Canada, and the International shipping to me for i think 8lb total wasnt all that bad, definately worth getting a better hookah. I still think that 17" is kinda small. Try to look for a 20"+
KillZedKill
I have one of those, different stem though, but its the same size. Really cool hookah, but I wish I had something a bit more traditional. Qts are great, same price range, and on some websites, like hookahcompany or hookahkings, they have traditional egyptians in the same price range, about 20-22 inches tall.
