Question About Mya Qt

Recommended Posts

Take a look at the two pictures below. One is of the QT being sold in all the major retailers. The other, is of the one offered by MYA direct. They are very, very different (personally, I like the latter). Did MYA make a new QT, are they the ony place that offers it?

Thanks guys. I want a QT too now. Have a pretty nice looking hookah myself, buy I have a floor sitting arrangement and moving coals involves getting up. (I am such a lazy bum).

Theres different classes of Mya, all come from Mya. Some re-sellers just happen to carry one rather than the other. Basically it just changed the design of the stem.

Though some people claim one stem has greater airflow than the other, that I'm not sure of. But rest assured they are both from Mya.

Does anyone know of any retailers that sell the second type, aside from MYA direct?

I found this at thehookah.com, but it looks shady. Edited by MAKCuMG

Looks like the red one is anodized to give the metal that color. Other than that it looks ok to me.

EDIT: But again, I don't own one myself, so i might be missing something.

EDIT #2: Looks like hookah-life.com (ASUSEAN is a sales rep for them if you have questions) sells both those classes of QT:

I have purchased three different kinds of Mya QTs and tried them all. The one that looks like the hand grenade seems to have the best pull, but that might be because it is new and it is the last one that I smoked. Either way, you're getting a decent smoking machine for a pretty low price.

This is NOT a Mya QT.

Although MYA QT's are available in different class, the real difference is the stem style and type of carrying case offered. There are other Chinese manufacturers who copy the mYA design and are of lesser quality and considerably cheaper. Typically if a vendor claims it is a MYA hookah, then it most likely is the real deal. Also, if a vendor is dealing MYA hookahs, they most likely sell other mYA products such as hoses and alternate MYA hookah styles. If you want to make sure you get a real MYA you can purchase from their site directly, or call the vendor in question and personally ask if it is made by MYA or is a MYA copy. Hope this helps.

You guys are great. I really apreciate all this input. Hopefully I will be ordering one soon tongue.gif .

What might be some of the problems associated with a MYA knockoff? Those hoses look so sweet dont they?!

There are three different MYA qts, the difference is just the stem. That red thing is a fake ^_~.

Dear MYA SARAY Customers

I would like to confirm that the red hookah image is not a QT MYA this is a copy of Our QT MYA S-Class. The hookah stem is not Brass and the glass is not a solid color, the color that you see is a spray only. This is not the first time that fake MYA was introduced to the market, other companies just posted new hookahs and they are all fake MYA’s. MYA understand that this will not be the last time. What we can promise all our customers is that MYA will keep introducing new quality products to the market.

Below please find images of all the MYA QT styles.

QT MYA C-Class
