Johnny_D
Hi Markchan I'm no starbuzz expert, however flavour should last longer than 10 mins!Is it possible that after that time you have too much heat? Or not enough?Once tobacco 'gets going' it is sometime advisable to back down the heat. I use a windcoverindoors to regulate this - First 10/15mins my windcover is on too really get the tobacco going... thenoff comes the cover to reduce the amount of heat. Might be worth a shot. Also some flavours will 'die down a bit' after the first initial hits ? Is it possible you are expecting too much?Just some thoughts.JD

Who were you?and no one's a noob But experimenting with shisha is key... everyone will tell you they do it differently. Only problem with Starbuzz is it's too damn expensive to experment with!JD

GordonMac
i learned somethign the other day.... im not sure if it really relates to this topic but o well. Anyways, I loaded my medium phunnell bowl and put just one 44 3Kings coal on. I noticed that I got great great amazing flavour (most flavour i have ever had) but the smoke was not like huge huge clouds... it was still rather thick but nothing amazing. Then i put another coal on (which i normally do) and I got the big clouds but not so much taste. What do most of you guys do? huge huge clouds or taste....? NorthEastSmoker2
different bowls and different shisha brands require different heat management.. For example, I find that the social smoke bowl I own takes a TON of heat to get it going.. Then I take a coal or 2 off, and it smokes smoothly with good flavor.. once your bowl gets going, take a coal off, or move what you have on there around a bit..p.s. I feel your pain with your old account.. I've been around here for over a year, with several hundred posts.. The fabulous Ian
This might be a dumb reply, but are you mixing up the shisha? The flavorings and glycerin tend to fell to the bottom, and I was wondering why I couldn't get much taste out of my shisha... until I tried mixing it up before packing the bowl. Made a world of difference, and I get thick, flavourful clouds.

Silent Knight
besides the aforementioned potential problems with bowls and heat management, starbuzz melon (sweet melon i'm guessing) really doesn't have much flavor to it to begin with, and certainly didn't hold its flavor for very long. i had similar experiences with it, which is why i don't smoke it any more. but 10 minutes seems too short, so definately check the wetness of your tobacco.
