Tangiers Asks All Tangiers Smokers

We have a problem, I've been working on it in the way I think is best, but maybe the Tangiers fans feel in the opposite way.

First a couple of parameters for this thread:
If you don't like Tangiers or have never smoked Tangiers, thats cool, but keep this thread to the point of people smoking Tangiers

The following flavors were manufactured by a specific company, which is out of business, so we need to address how to proceed:

2- Apple
3- Strawberry
4- Mixed Fruit
5- Lemon Blossom
6- Pineapple
19-Watermelon
20-Juicy Peach
23-Kashmir Apple *The apple portion anyways
25-Liquorice
26-Double Orange *Multiple components
29-Cooling
30-Blackthorn
36-Grape
40-Cinnamon
44-Marigold
49-Vanilla
55-Apricot *one component
59-Root Beer
60-Lime
65-Blue Gum Ball
71-Red Tea
77-Tropical Revenge *One Component
80-Summer Solstice *One Component

So, which flavors should be duplicated identically, we can't get too many duplicated, I think Watermelon, blue gum ball and red tea as well as Blackthorn, lemon blossom and vanilla...
(Pick limit the list to six, in order from favorite to less favorite)


Which ones do you guys think need to be identically duplicated? Which ones don't need to be duplicated, but should be dumped and redeveloped? For that I would vote for Root Beer, cooling, cinnamon, liquorice.

Some can also be close duplicates, so slight changes have been made, but not too much. Marigold Keep it close, Lime, keep it close, etc.

What about strawberry, apple or grape? dump 'em, come back with a close duplicate or duplicate 'em identically?

Vanilla <- bring it back just like it was, my fav

Grape <- could be redone, but was good as is/was
Blackthorn
Juicy Peach <- could be redone, was good (but I haven't gotten Kas Peach yet)
Strawberry <- liked it as is/was

I'm just happy the Kiwi wasn't on the list - quickly becoming my fav of all time. What ever you end up doing/changing (bringing out back and disposing of), it will be good

I haven't had too many of those but I say duplicate Blue Gum Ball, Apricot and Vanilla. I've heard great things about watermelon, pineapple, and lemon blossom, but I've never tried them

I'd say rework the apple component of Kashmir Apple. While I think it's a good flavor, I prefer a non-anise apple with kashmir. Something sharp and sweet, a little tangy. Edited May 10, 2007 by symptom CY

Redevelop: Cooling and licorice definitely.

Juicy peach could use more of a peach bite.

watermelon...keep it the same to me it taste like bubblelicious!
juicy peach....make it more peachy the one batch i had tasted like dirt coulda been old.
grape...if you could give it more of i dunno grape kool aid taste that b awesome!

thats all i can think of for now. im glad blueberry and melon blend aint on the list those r tops in my book!

I would say duplicate: Apple (so we can have Kashmir Apple and Apple ), Blackthorn, Lemon Blossom, Red Tea, Blue Gum Ball and Watermelon

I vote to drop: Vanilla (least favorite I've tried), Strawberry and Liquorice

Re-engineer: Root Beer (more root beer flavor), Juicy Peach (more peach-iness)

I'm very interested in the cinnamon flavor. I had one puff of it once at the lounge and couldn't really get a good impression, but it seemed very mild. Mild is cool, but I'd like to see it a bit more spicy like Nakhla -- not quite as spicy as Nakhla, but almost.

Definitely keep Red Tea unless you think you can improve on it... which i think would be really hard to do because it is delicious.

Marigold was really good but I have to be in the mood. It reminds me of my grandmother's house when I was growing up. Ahh, nostalgia.

Sorry for the double post, but I am going to discontinue Root Beer and Cooling in response to your opinions. Unfortunately, the flavors faded since I've had them...I'll find newer and better flavors. We'll rebuild them. Make them stronger and better than ever. They will be the six million dollar flavors.

Keep Kashmir Apple, Watermelon, and Blackthorn the same. Renovate the rest.

Nothing I have tried really sucks, but your fruity flavors like the peach could use more bite to them.

EDIT: Something else came to mind, Eric. When I got my order of F-Line Kashmir, that stuff stunk up my room.... and if I left the door open the whole house! I personally love red tea, its one of my favorite flavors, one of those i can smoke with out getting tired of it. I really hope it doesnt disappear, if it does though let us know so I can snatch up some of the remaining stock.

Here is my opinion to the Tangiers Flavours I know:

2- Apple - Renew this one
15- Green Apple - It's to much candy style for me. Find a new one
23-Kashmir Apple *The apple portion anyways - I think you'll find a new flavour that fits the Kashmir
26-Double Orange *Multiple components - This is the flavour I definitly wanted to try next. Because the Description sounds awesome. Keep it!
59-Root Beer - Nobody needs a root beer flavour.
80-Summer Solstice *One Component - As it is a mixed flavour it should not be difficult replace one component. Unless it isn't the main component.
