Hello! Hoping that someone can help me out here, but I may just be out of luck.

I let a friend borrow one of my shisha pipes as he was having a few people over and I got to the gathering only to find out that someone attempted to lift it from about halfway up without any support on the base. It has apparently broken into three pieces (large chunk of the main bit of the base, the bottom of the base, and a bit from the side). The obvious idea is just to replace the base, but this one was a gift from a friend who picked it up while she was home in Abu Dhabi (funny enough only chose to use this specific one to show my friend the quality of it sad.gif ).

I'm wondering is there any way to fix the base if I have all the pieces of it? I'm up for getting it professionally done, anything really... Just can't seem to find the base online as it was bought in a shop in UAE... Maybe I'm just not looking in the right place. I'm in the London area and looking for any possibilities or advice!

Thank you in advance for any help...

That sucks man but did that hookah happen to cost about $20 US in dubai? b/c a friend of mine's brother sent back a couple 30+" hookahs back from dubai and most of the bases broke lol. So we have just been replacing them with social smoke bases.

I think it's around that price or so. Not 100% sure... I'm heading into Edgware tomorrow (area of London with big Arabic scene) to check out replacement bases...

Is shisha relatively big stateside? I've been in London the past year (I'm from the Northern Virginia area) and picked it up while I've been here. Hoping it will be as easy to stock up back home.

Hi safin39,

Im sorry for your loss. wink.gif

I would not recommend repairing the base as anything you stick it back together with will leach into your water and not only ruin your smoke, but may be hazardous (I learned this from experience). Also, anytime you have cracks in a base bacteria seem to get in them, especially if you don’t wash it after every use (also from experience). You could always go to a glass blower and see if they can make you a replica, but you'll end up with like a $50 vase for your hookah. Personally I would glue the vase back together and just leave it as a decoration, but I would never smoke out of it again.

Hope this helps.

This is very sage council indeed.

Glue it back together for sure - but never smoke from it again. Both points raised by Hookahlife are 100% on the money - Bacteria & chemical issues.

buy a new vase - they are cheap enough and if your state-side then you can get them cheap & fast!
