Friends Laugh At Thought Of Hookah?

i been trying to get some friends to smoke the hookah with me but when i explain its flavored tobacco i get either.. oh i dont smoke, or they laugh..any ideas?

i wanna get them to try it, but most think its a joke

try showing them the tobacco or packaging. let them smell it, and it that doesnt work, then oh well, sorry about there bad luck.

if they don't want to smoke shisha, or just laugh it off, that's their misfortune for not getting to indulge in the treat.

also, a lot of times if you start smoking around people, and they smell the wonderous smoke, they'll become curious and usually try it...

I don't think you should try to pressure them into it. Offer and explain, but don't try to force.

Most of the time, people always want to try it. Never had a guy not wanting too, and a few girls that didnt, but most of them were just really hesitant at first, then we started smoking and when you pass the hoses most of the time the persoin will just grab one and try it. If you can just find a few people to smoke with you, then whoever else your with will see that your all having a good time, smell the nice favors, and want to try it.

I have some friends who are slow to warm up to odd things. Through my patience with their temporary intolerance of my odd hobbies, I have gotton my best friend onto wine, bourbon, briar pipe smoking on occosion and hookah. Once he ran out of jokes and sarcasm, he gave it a shot and enjoyed it more than he expected. I still can't get him to drink scotch, but i guess that isn't uncommon

I am going to host an "Arabian Nights party" for my friends. I am going to wear a fez and arabian costume, and my wife is going to dress up like a "harem girl" (see "I dream of Jeannie"). We are going to serve arabian snacks, dried fruits, sweet arabian desserts, and have a couple of hookahs with different flavors. I think some of them will give it a try.
