misterbeetz
If I am in a situation like that I tend to start anew. Back up your FF settings/data and try uninstalling Firefox and then reinstalling it. Or a reformat may be in order if you run windows and havent reformated in a while.- misterbeetz
Canuck Noob
No, I'm not prepared to do that Misterbeetz.I've now got it to the point where I can do most things in Firefox. For the things I can't, I guess I will just have to bite the bullet and use Internet Explorer.

I also admit formating is a pretty drastic measure for a situation like this and I realize I should have recommended the Windows Repair Installation instead in the event that a FF reinstallation didn't do the trick. Anyways, good luck on that.- misterbeetz

Canuck Noob
Well I think I finally found the culprit! An extension called MR Tech Link Wrapper, which I have now uninstalled. I wish I had never had it in the first place, as it not only screwed up some web pages it also increased page loading by two or three times!
