I Want A New Hookah

Recommended Posts

hmm...

my current hookah is about 9 months old, it has been faithful to me but i think its time for a new investment

previous hookahs

mia acrylic (first hookah the base broke on it, gave the rest to someone else, miss it very much)

i dont know about the same size at the mia, was kinda crappy inside rusted trashed it.

current hookah
medium rotating ( love the rotating feature for the room i mostly smoke in, sometimes i think its to tall, overall i thin k its a good hookah when i have a big group of people but for 2-4 people its just to much)

so this is the fun part
what should my next hookah be?
I want a good looking hookah!
small or medium sized
>$75
single hose should be fine unless someone persuades me otherwise

let the debate begin!

bigmahlman,

Buying a hookah is always exciting, but it can definitely get frustrating looking for the right one. A rotating hookah definitely does the trick for big groups, and the Mya, in my personal opinion, is great for intermediate use. (I personally use a small acrylic Mya).

If your smoke sessions tend to have 2-4 people, then I don't recommend buying a single hose hookah, unless you can attach a hose adapter, like those found on Mya Sarays. For your price range I would highly recommend an Egyptian hookah, preferably with a brass or copper core (Khalil Mamoun Hookah's come to mind). If you don't want a hookah that’s too tall I have found that 24"-27" hookahs smoke the best.

Hope this helps. Good Luck in your search!

ohh, yea
I know most people would advise against this but i already have 3 bowls and 2 tongs and 3 hoses, (mya washable wide hose is all i need I LOVE IT)

so i was thinking that maybe i could just buy the stem, the tray, and the base.

If this doesn't lower my selection

someone get at me about that.

thanks yall

I bought 1 complete hookah.

The next two were piece-mealed together. I HIGHLY suggest getting a complete hookah. This way everything fits perfectly...

I bought the stems first, but didn't wait to receive them before ordering the base - it was small... I had a heck of a time timming the grommet to make it fit and it BARELY fits!

If you do want to piece-meal it together, order everything from 1 location/vendor. Normally they will inform you which fits what... you can even call most of them to verify everything will work together.

My .02 cents smile.gif

I agree with Lazria, for the most part.

If you’re looking at Egyptian hookahs, I don't recommend getting each part individually as Egyptians are hand made and it's hard to find consistency from piece to piece. On the other hand if you are willing to sacrifice some longevity and possibly some quality, and go with a Chinese hookah, then you can definitely mix and match parts, since Chinese hookahs are machine lathed, creating consistency from piece to piece.

Hope this clarifies your questions! wink.gif

Actully i suggest buying a single hose hookah... the multi-hose thingy makes the smoke less dense, and burning the shisha faster... i suggest going for an egyptian signle medium sized hookah, egyptian hookah's has better performence than AGER, or Syrian hookahs... you can find a decent one for 75$ but may i suggest importing since it will cost you less...

get a 3 hoser. I think those are ideal because personally i don't like smoking with less than 2 other people. if you have a 3 then everyone can smoke and if more people come you can make like a "trade team"

But everyone having their own hose kind of ruins the whole experience...at least for me. When we smoke as a group, it's part of the etiquette I guess to take turns unless it's a huge group. Edited by Gaara

My thoughts exactly. I stick to one hose if i'm smoking with 3 people or less. I do however like the option of adapting the purge valve for an extra hose when neccessary.
