King Mo
this the collection of all the reviews i've done of premium tobacco (with a couple of non-premiums here and there). Reason I'm condensing them is because they were reviewed at different times and are too dispersed. so here it goes fumari WHITE PEACH this didn't smell too fantastic when I opened it. Texture was nice ,and wasn't wet but not dry either. Started it up, and smoked it, and I must say it is a nice flavour to smoke. Tastewise it is very accurate, and it was a pure taste which didn't feel contaminated as u sometimes get with cheaper tobacco (u'll have extra tastes here and there). It is a gentle smoke and not strong, but flavoursome, and lasts for very long too. Compared with the romman peach, I'd say it's a tough call and is similar, but this one had a more pure peach taste in my opinion. Great flavour, alround good, but not spectacular in any one way. Tough to fault. 8.5 fumari GUAVA: This was rather interesting. Smelt like guava, and the texture was similar to the peach. Once smoked, again the flavour was nice (a little mild) and you could feel and smell the guava. Not too strong, but it was so different that you couldn't fail to be a little excited by it. Not for those who don't like guava, but I liked it. again, great flavour, so different, decent smoke 8 fumari MINT CHOC This was again rather interesting. quality was the same as the other two, and the smell was nice. Once smoked, I must say the mint is what overpowers everything, but where most mint flavours taste like mint with a little hint of crap, this tastes like mint, with a little hint of chocolate If you like mint, you'll like this no question, and the chocolate hint is very very mild, but nice. Enjoyable, possibly best mint I've tried. 8.5 fumari YELLOW APPLE This I was looking forward to. Got it going, and it smelled nice. My criticism is it wasn't too apply, and tasted very very floral. I hate floral flavours, so was disappointed with it as it didn't appeal to my taste. The flavour strength was good, as was the smoke, but I hate flowery tastes. Nice if you are into rose and such flavours. no good for me, but not bad quality, 6 for me, but 8 if you like the flavour fumari CHERRY This one looked great and seemed to be a nice one. That was until I got it going. it was far wetter than the others, and that I believe affected the smoke. There was far more smoke created (almost of Fakher standards), but the problem was the flavour. It was tooooooooo light. You couldn't really taste it. It was just smoke. Nice smoke, but very little flavour 5.5 fumari PREMIUM MELON This was an interesting smoke, similar to the others in texture, and the same smoke density, which is acceptable, but by no means at all close to fakher. Flavour was decent, and it lasted for a long time as with the others. It doesn't taste luxurious though, and you'd be almost as happy with the cheap stuff. The flavour didn't feel contaminated with others as with the rest, and you get what you expect, if your expectations are of a normal melon flavour. reasonable, but cheap-ish in taste. 7 Qemah Apple: I had high hopes for this baby. came in the premium fakher packaging with a flip top plastic case, and 4 mouth filters. smelled strong, nice texture, and nice and wet. The smell was almost honey-syrupy with a bit of apple. once lit, I was unpleasantly surprised. I thought this was gonna be great but it wasn't. The flavour was very "tobacco-y" with a bit of a zaghlool feel to it. The fruity aspect of it tasted like cheap grape (not the fakher grape). A kind of musky taste you feel in your nose. the smoke produced was excellent, and this shisha is probably amongst the strongest I have ever smoked, due to the strong tobacco flavour of it. comparitively, Apple Fakher still reigns supreme for me over all the other apples, but this is the strongest, and has an unusual flavour to it. I would rate it over double apple fakher, and also over golden iskandarani fakher. It is a more pleasant smoke than those. It lasts very long too. overall I give this a 7.5 out of 10. Good quality, and very strong, but was not "appley enough" for my liking, and lacking in sweetness. Not better than Regular apple fakher ,which is the best i've tried. Mango Fakher: this stuff smells nice and fruity. It's really moist, and gives a nice mango smell. Not much to say about this one, as it is pretty easy to describe. A good shisha, with a satisfactory amount of smoke generated. The mango falvour comes through mildly, and is not too strong, in the same style as apricot fakher. overall, i'd give it an 8 out of ten ,as it is a very pleasant (but mild ) flavour, that is good for a change of mood. Coconut Fakher: this is a superb smoke. possibly the only non-fruit flaovour that i love. The smell is great, the smoke itself smells like a sweet cocunut.dessert. It mixes well with many flavours, but on it's own, delivers a quite delightful flavour. I give this one 9.5 out of 10. Golden Grape: I've had too much of this stuff, so will review it again seeing as I am much more used to it. It's a delightful smoke, with a flavour that may not appeal to everyone, but if you are a fan of Fakher grape, you will love this. Very strong rich flavour, although due to the strength of the taste and smell, you find u may get bored of it. I found that happened with Fakher grape before, and I went 6 months not smoking it before liking it again beautifully smooth smoke, the tobacco itself is syrupy and very fine, with a smell that your neighbours can smell. flavour is rich, and almost blackurranty, and overall, a fantastic experience for the first time, but over time can be a bit overwhelming. My revised score is 9.5, Regular grape gets an identical review, although its flavour is more user friendly with everyone, and can be tolerated more over long periods. Golden Bahraini: this is the one I've been waiting for, and without Hookahculture, I'd have had to by a big box and take a risk: here's the review: initial texture and smell: nice cut tobacco which is soaked in the traditional fakher fashion, not as much as grape but still substanitial. The smell is faint, with a little sweetness and a bit of liquorice. Smoke: smoke generated was excellent, really thick and luxurious as i come to expect. Tastewise, it was pleasant, and typical of a double apple, but with less liquorice and more userfriendly. It is a very mild taste in my opinion, but I prefer it to Fakher double apple, and also Nakhla double apple, both of which have a stronger liquorice taste. Perhaps the taste was not strong enough, but with the smoke generated and the mild taste, you find yourself able to stomach this high quality product very well. In apple rankings, I'd prefer this to the Golden Eskandarani, but Apple Fakher still reigns supreme as the best apple of the range in my opinion. summary: very acceptable smoke, and worth having as a nice change if you watn a double apple flavour which is not overpoweringly liquoricy. 8.5 overall apple rankings of the fakher range of which I have tried all now: 1) Apple Fakher 2) Golden Bahraini 3) Qemah Apple 4) Golden Eskandarani 5) Double Apple FAKHER COLA This is a nice tobacco, the smell as mentioned is like gummy cola sweets. The tobacco is nice and wet and very finely cut. Once this is lit, the sweet cola taste hits you in a wonderful way. Just like cola sweets (sweets is English for 'candy') the smoke is nice and thick, and the flavour really is a lovely change from the norm. It really does taste good and I only tried it briefly before, but now I've made my own i can see that this is one flavour which is welcome to any tobacco collection. It's different from all the flavours, but not in a crappy bitter way like the floral or citrus flavours. It is different in a sweet, kid-like manner in which you feel like a child again truely enjoying the smoke. this is spot on from Fakher 10 out of 10. A great flavour for a change of mood. GOLDEN STRAWBERRY FAKHER This is an interesting smoke. The tobacco is incredibly wet, and you literally have to squeeze some of the juice out of the tobacco before putting it in the head. Smells like sweet strawberry dessert. Once lit up, this produces a nice thick luxurious smoke. I am not a strawberry man, and am not too fond of strawberry shishas, but for those who like strawberry, this is a fantastic smoke. The flavour is subtle in nature, but the taste is really excellent if you are a strawberry fan. A pure strawberry dessert flavour, with no other noticable taste other than strawberry goodness. Lasts for ages too. I personally give this a 9 because it is excellent tobacco, if you like strawberry then quite possibly you'd give it a 9.5 or 10. AMIR CHERRY This stuff was very interesting. when opened the tobacco is a reasonable texture, not as fine as the fakher or liquidy. It's wetness had a gritty or powdery feel to it and does not drip as much as the fakhers (esp golden strawberry). It smells pretty nice. Now for the smoke test. Well, to have a good cherry in my opinion. It has to be a subtle flavour that is not strong, but sweet and easily recognisable as cherry. A good cherry is one of the most relaxing flavours to have because it is subtle, smooth, silky and just the kind of thing you would smoke till every last drop of molasses is burnt through. Now for the amir cherry. I tried it at first. took it's time to get going, but after a few minutes of smoking, it had reached a stage with loads of beautiful white smoke, and a flavour that sums up all that I have said above. It really is the perfect cherry in my opinion. It has the sweetness of fakher cherry, without the floral undertones that affect it. It is a light smooth shisha that you can smoke for hours, with a beautiful flavour. This is the cherry for me, and I will enjoy having this in my collection. As a cherry fan myself, I have to give this a perfect 10. It takes time to get going ,but worth the wait. APPLE FAKHER as you know, I love the stuff, So seeing as i been smoking some fresh new apple fakher, it's worth another review tobacco - excellent texture, wet, fine and great smell taste - sweet apple taste, tiny hint of liquorice which you hardly notice in the great goodness of this awesome flavour. Smoke - beautiful rich thick smoke, to get smoke this thick you'd normally put loads of coal and risk coughing your guts out, but with this, you need minimal coal, and the flavour is supreme with the thick smoke. a lovely combo. no need for elaborations. This is a classic essential flavour for anyone. This is what they serve in upper class places in the emirates, it's an automatic choice, Apple fakher, is second nature to the sophisticated shisha smoker. what mark? well, of course a 10, would be an insult to give it anything else. It is impossible to hate this flavour, you either love it, or you will like it alot. CAPPUCCINO FAKHER this was a flavour i hadn't personally tried before from fakher. Was looking forward to it. Tobacco: fine fakher cut as you come to expect. This tobacco is literally dripping and far wetter than anything i've seen. The smell is gorgeous, just like the coffee filled chocolates or coffee cake. Really sweet coffee smell. The smoke and taste: when lit and smoked, you get a reasonable taste, which is not as intense as the smell, but a mild coffee, almost chocolaty taste. It is a decent smoke, but not something i feel I can smoke for long. I guess it's not the ideal flavour to smoke and not the tobacco's fault. The smoke was rich and white up to fakher standards. It can be smoked for a good hour easily, and will not burn quick as all the fakhers do, but the flavour is not quite compatible with me, and it is again a nice one for a change, but the change isn't fantastic, not like say cola or other unusual flavours. overall,it is decent, and of a premium standard in terms of quality, but the flavour was not something I'd personally smoke too much of. Another point to note, is also because it is a REAL HOSE KILLER. You'll probably have to have about 5-6 sessions with other tobacco for the taste in the hose to totally fade away. It really really lingers. Coconut and coffee really do stick around for a while in your hose, be warned. overall, 7.5 (good quality but reasonable flavour that is easy to get tired of) PLUM FAKHER This is another one I hadn't tried before. Seemed like an interesting flavour, so went for it. Tobacco is wet and fakher like, I dont really think I need to describe fakher tobacco anymore. The taste: Well, upon smoking this, I became reminded of the peach flavours I'd tried. Things that didn't go down too well with me. Peach and Plum are essentially in the same category. the best way i'd describe this, is that they have a 'buttery taste' to them. Something I really did not like. I'd perhaps put Golden Eskandarani in the same category too. Well, the sweet buttery taste would go down well with a peach or Golden Eskandarani lover, and i would recommend this for them. It lasts long, with good smoke, the taste I didn't like, but it wasn't something that can be described as bad, because it did the job. Personal preference really. I give this one a 7.5 NAKHLA PISTACHIO pistachio? sounds interesting right, great snacks while watchin a movie or something. Can it be made into a tobacco? not really as far as the egyptians are concerned. Tobacco: pretty dry with a bit of stickiness. Very roughly cut, a few pieces will fill the bowl. It's such big chunks that as a result the airflow is pretty good as the packing is rough due to the big pieces not packing well (which is not a bad thing). smoke : decent smoke generated. Ridiculous taste which is almost like some chemical. They should have called it Nakhla chemical flavour. summary: chemical like taste, nothing remotely pistachio about it. not worth they money. overall, I give this a 3.5, simply because it smokes. ROMMAN SWEET MELON tobacco: delightful smell, the cut is wafer thin, and relatively easy to use. No problems there. very wet for this type of tobacco. smoke and taste: reasonable smoke, not of fakher standards, but good quality. The taste is at first a little hard on the throat (not through my own fault, believe me i have made many a shisha ) After about 5-10 mins of smoking, this one starts to get going . The melon taste comes through very well, and it is a nice pure flavour. Something nice and summery, and i like it. once it has settled, it is quite a lovely smoke. light, airy and with a pleasant flavour. overall: This is good quality stuff, and lasts for a long time. Among the best melon flavours I have had, but you have to smoke through a bit of crap to get to the goodness after a few mins, then it's plain sailing. solid flavour, nice smoke, tough to dislike 9 ROMMAN APPLE tobacco: less wet than the melon, again very thin strips of tobacco, almost like flakes of thin coconut in texture. smells very good. The romman flavours seem to have a fantastic smell to the box. almost like perfume. Smoke: this one got going a bit quicker, and after 2-3 minutes, became nice and settled. A light smooth flavour. tough to describe. A fresh tasting apple with a bit of sweetness ,but not very sweet. easy to smoke for a long time, and lasts long. verdict: nice smoke. tough to fault, but not with the richness of flavour or smoke density of fakher apple, which is unbeatable really, so an unfair comparison I like it, but not spectacular in any sense. 8 ROMMAN BANANA Tobacco: reasonable smell, nothing spectacular and not as nice as the previous 2 romman flavours, but pleasant. The cut is similar to the apple, not overly wet, and straightforward to work with. Smoke: romman smoke as before, good, but not close to fakher smoke. This one took at least 15 minutes before I found it settled and nice to smoke. The flavour is decent banana, not too strong, but a nice chilled smoke. It doesn't last as long as the other flavours though, and for that it will be marked down. Overall: as a banana flavour, it is better than most. Not something you'd throw away, but not fantastic. Flavour is optimum for about half an hour or so after the initial period of 'settling'. 7 FUMARI WATERMELON tobacco: incredibly strong sweet melony/watermelony smell. Hits you with a moist feeling at the back of your throat, this feeling, common with banana flavours, mean it'll smoke quite harsh with a feeling in the back of your throat. The texture is sticky and good sized pieces similar to romman (in fact i believe the tobacco is the same type as romman use as the texture is so similar, different flavours of course) Smoke: when this is lit, the throaty moisture cannot be felt too much and becomes negligible. now a new paragraph for the taste. The taste is something I would simply describe as absolutely phenomenal. Yes, thats right, Phenomenal. A beautiful sweet watermelon flavour that really really is amazing. F**k fumari peach. this is the fumari flavour worth buying. I totally agree with mathazar here that it is one of the best shisha flavours on the market. The taste is amazing and so pure. the smoke density is acceptable, and nothing is like fakher in that respect, but the flavour more than makes up for it. Doesn't last too long in my opinion, but u should get a good hour, and in fact, a phenomenal hour out of it overall: beautiful flavour that is something special. Not often non fakhr flavours affect me like this. definately worth a 10 FUMARI WHITE GRAPE Tobacco: texture decent, needs to be spread out a bit in order to pack it correctly. smell is nice, has a grape fakher-like smell to it, but not as strong. smoke: once lit, there is a mild grape flavour, but very weak in my opinion. Not one I'd buy again. even burning the hell out of it doesnt affect it too much. Not a strong flavour at all. Overall: fumari are an unpredictable company; this flavour is not a good one, and nothing good to say about it. If you've run out of flavours and want some very mildly flavoured plain smoke, then this would get a 10 lol. But my verdict on this one, a disappointing 4.5 HookahHookah Apple tobacco: bizarre texture, almost like the inside of a cigarette. Very fine strands that are easy to work with, and the smell is fantastic smoke: the smoke was pretty flavourless. Very disappointing as the smell was very nice indeed. I could not taste anything, used a small head, a big head, all that was left was for me to get head but still made no difference. tried everything, but most surely this was flavourless overall: nice impression and packaging, but absolutely no flavour worthy of mention. a disappointing 4 Hookah Hookah Hazlenut: Tobacco: same as before, glorious smell like my favourite coffee (Hazlenut Mocha) but again a funky cut which is almost like dried grass. no such thing as a tobacco leaf to be found. smoke: this one gave a little hazlenut hint, but again the flavour was way too mild, and did not reflect upon the great smell. After a few minutes of smoking, the faint hazlenut became nothing, and the tobacco was dead. Again tried a multitude of combos to get it to smoke well, but this again had no flavour to mention. Overall: a slight improvement on the apple, the smell was amazing but the smoke is where it counts, and this scores low. 5 Hookah Hookah Melon: Tobacco: same as before, and again a wonderful smell. Smoke: this one I really could taste, and made it worthwhile. A fantastic melon flavour with a touch of honey. Really really nice taste and among the nicest I have tried. Unfortunately, this taste was rather shortlived, and after about 25 minutes, the wonderful taste faded to nothingness, and this was a big head holding about 25-30g of tobacco. The taste was beautiful though, and pushes up the score. Decent smoke density too. Overall: this tobacco is a worthy smoke, but you'll have to keep changing the head every 20-30 mins max to maintain the wonderful flavour. It is damn tasty. It's relatively cheap at 10 dollars, so worth trying and the expenditure isnt high. It loses out because it doesnt last long. If it lasted twice as long, it would get a 10, but because it fades so quickly, then the score I'll give, purely on the nice experience of the temporary flavour is 8.5 fruit Cocktail Fakher: Tobacco: this is quality tobacco, lovely red and moist, and the lives easy to break up and use. smells great too. smoke : the flavour is very similar to the plum, not a very mixed flavour, but an enjoyable smoke and relatively mild. It last pretty long too. the smoke density is of fakher standards and the best in the business (closely followed by that of Amir cherry). It's not a flavour I can love, but decent all the same. Nothing really to fault. Overall: a nice flavour, similar to the plum, which will provide a good smoke 7.5 FUMARI FRENCH VANILLA Tobacco: mild subtle smell, very encouraging, could it be a winner, or another one of those flavours that is would make a good air freshener but a crap tobacco. Smoke: surprise surprise, the mild subtle smell, results in an exceptionally mild flavourless tobacco. Very smooth and doesn't burn. Great for practicing tricks etc, but the flavour is not to be found. Overall: another loser from fumari. I cant believe those guys have the guts to ship tobacco all the way here ,only for it to be flavourless. thats cherry, grape, vanilla from the company that are all absolutely worthless smokes. Nice and smooth, but no flavour 4.5 guys, for your own good, never touch anything that scores below a 6 in my reviews. Even out of curiosity. You'll thank me later NAKHLA DOUBLE APPLE Tobacco: well, it's fresh off a tree, giant chunks of tobacco and god knows what. Smell is reasonable, but nothing overly special. Smoke: nice thick smoke. The taste is a mild liquorice with a hint of apple. goes to your head better than many flavours, and enjoyable. Lasts pretty long too. minimum 45 mins. Overall: a good flavour for beginners, and for a change, it is a classic flavour which although isn't spectacular, is tough to criticise. If you feel like a shisha, and something pretty reliable. Then Nakhla double apple does the job. very easy to smoke, and great to kill time with. It has it's place in a shisha collection, and not one to be discarded. 7 Qema Grape. Tobacco: thick Qema texture, bigger chunks as with the other Qema flavours. Not the smooth tiny pieces of fakher. This is reflected by the usual strong tobacco influence in this range. smells like grape though, but not as strong as others. Smoke: very thick fakher smoke , that only fakher can produce. The flavour is a mild version of the golden grape flavour, because the tobacco is so strong, you can really feel the 'heaviness' of the tobacco in the taste. If you like strong stuff, then the qema range produces strength of premium quality to complement the taste. Overall: I personally prefer a strong flavour, but no doubt this is quality stuff. I dont smoke shisha for strength, but if I did, then Qema would be what I buy. This is highly recommended if you feel most flavours are weak in their 'tobacco influence' 8 PINEAPPLE FAKHER Tobacco: fakher cut, wet, small pieces, easy to use. The smell is rather strange, a hint of pineapple with a hint of some type of medicine, not too exciting. Smoke: the smoke in this one is good, as expected with fakher whose smoke is the richest. The only problem is the taste. It is just not good. It tastes of something that perhaps resembles pineapple, but also a medicine. The unappealing smell reflects in the taste. It is smokeable, and you do get rich smoke with a taste, but the taste itself is not a nice taste. Overall: this is one of the weaker fakher flavours. Not in terms of strength, but the taste itself is not nice, and is not what I would describe as pineapple. It is smokeable though, but not nice. I dont recommend it. 5 ROMMAN DOUBLE APPLE: here's an interesting one, highly recommended by Mathazar and cypress, Tobacco: romman tobacco, some wetness, same as other romman ,easy to use, although chunks are a little on the big side (could do with being smaller). Smells interesting, mild liquorice smell. Typical of bahraini apple. smoke: very smooth smoke, not a strong liquorice taste and easy to have. One of those standard flavours which are smokable by most. I must say though there is nothing spectacular about it, although it is very smooth. Overall: decent smoke, which to be honest, doesn't do much for me, and I'd say is about the same standard as nakhla tobacco, but smoother with a milder taste. This one I have to disagree with mathazar and cypress. I can see why you guys like it, but trust me, try Golden Bahraini, and you'll get the exact same effect, with smoother smoke and an improved taste. Golden bahraini is twice as good as this one Romman D.apple gets a 7 Romman Raspberry: tobacco: typical of romman, smell's good, maybe not quite raspberry, but something along those lines. Invites you to wanna smoke it Smoke: decent smoke, nice smooth flavour, which hits you alot more on the aftertaste. Almost like a raspberry bubble gum or something. Not a strong flavour, but enjoyable, and very easy to like for pretty much anyone. Not spectacular by any means. Overall: a nice decent flavour with a pleasant sweet raspberry-type aftertaste. very smooth. An interesting part of a collection, and worth a 50g pack to try. score: 8 Romman pineapple: Tobacco: described the texture too many times in this thread. The smell is nice and inviting. A sweet artificial pineapple smell Smoke: decent taste, nothing spectacular, but beats the fakher pineapple (Which is not hard, considering it's the worst fakher flavour ) Not worth smoking too much as it does nothing, pretty much everything else is better to smoke. Overall: better than fakher pineapple, but the actual flavour of pineapple doesn't really suit shisha smoking. Not recommended. Average smoke 6 Romman Orange: tobacco: nice smell, not overly strong and inviting to smoke Flavour: not the strongest flavour in the world, and has an orangy feel to it, but nothing that really makes me want to smoke it again, my friend didn't like it too much either. I really do not see the appeal (sorry to the romman orange fans). Its a different type of flavour, but nothing remotely special. Would have preferred a bigger hit of flavour, and a sweeter smell. overall: not a strong flavour, nothing too bad though, but certainly not worth buying imo. 6.5 Romman Lemon: Tobacco: nice lemony smell. Something very inviting indeed, got me pretty excited. smoke: This is everything the orange should be. Beautiful amount of white smoke, lovely strong lemon flavour. quite brilliant really. definately one for a collection, and very different. Overall: I loved this one, it's great, wiht only one gripe, in that the lemon flavour itself could become a little sickly to smoke too much. But for every once in a while, it's great. Will have to check out the fakher lemon to see how it measures up, but this is the best romman I have tried. 9.5 Romman Rose: tobacco: standard romman tobacco as described many times. No difference here. Smells like rose water. Smoke: very smooth and accurate to the flavour. ROSE WATER. yes, that's what it tastes like ROSE WATER. Floral, bitter, and about as sweet as a raw coffee bean. Man, I hate this flavour, but I gotta hand it to them, it is accurate. Overall: This is an accurate depiction of rose water, translated into smoke. It is smooth, and the taste is strong. the only problem is that it is rose, I would hate it for any other brand, and this is no exception. Score?for me it's -300 (or 8.5 if u like rose) Al Amir LEMON Tobacco: nicely presented in their fantastic sealable plastic container, far stronger than al fakhers breakable container, and less leaky than Rommans leaky container. Smells really good too, fresh lemony smell which was similar to the Romman lemon (which is an excellent flavour and got 9.5 in my previous review) Good cut, with a gritty powdery feel as with their 10 out of 10 Cherry flavour. Smoke: nice rich thick smoke, fakher standard with a lovely refreshing lemony taste that is not strong, nor subtle. A perfect lemony taste which is not as acidic as you would expect a lemon to taste. A very pure flavour that smokes beautifully with no extra tastes that sometimes find their way into various brands and flavours. Overall: This flavour lasts for a long time ,and belongs in a premium collection. There is really nothing in it between this and the romman lemon. This one perhaps is a tiny bit smoother, but both are awesome. The reason this one gets higher though?? well, that's because it is practically half the price of romman, with equal or better quality. This is a fantastic lemon flavour, and I will have to try the fakher version to see how it matches. Nothing to fault in this at all. Supreme smoke, no deductions, very highly recommended if you have enjoyed other lemon flavours 10 Al Amir TRIPLE APPLE Tobacco: a reddish gritty tobacco cut into reasonable pieces. of the wetter variety as oppose to the lemon which is drier. The smell is very much like Qima apple, a red apply kind of smell. Smoke: this took time to get going, perhaps in full flow after about 5 mins. Rich thick smoke, and a taste that is like a cross between Qima Apple, and fakher apple, but not quite the strong tobacco influence of Qima apple, nor the sweetness of fakher apple. It is a solid, smooth apple taste, which doesn't excite in any particular way, but cannot really be faulted too much. overall: a cheaper version of Qima apple, but as good and more stomachable because of the lighter feel of it. Reddish apple flavour with not much sweetness. Can't taste any liquorice or sour apple flavour as it is not in that category even. Very easy to smoke and a decent performer. 8 al amir GRAPE tobacco: this one came in a box for some reason, but had the same airtight plastic bag as the others that come in plastic containers. Very wet and has that powdery feel again. Tobacco chopped up into very small pieces. Smells like grape, but not the fakher grape, more of a cheapass grape with the lower quality brands. (tough to really describe, but something detracting from the 'sweet' grapy flavour you get with fakher. Smoke: decent smoke thickness, and lasted pretty long. It tasted like it smelled, which was not fantastically appealing in my opinion. If you like the cheap grape flavours you tend to get in shisha cafes (The non-sweet dark grapy hint of a flavour) then this is an improved version of them. Doesn't really compare with Fakher grape, it taste differently, but in a bad way, although it is rather harsh to say that as fakher grape is one of the top flavours around. overall: a reasonable flavour, which is not sweet at all and is what you would expect of a standard grape flavour. It is a higher quality than the cheap stuff, in that you get a thick smoke with long lasting flavour. Nothing to rock my world though 7 Al amir BANANA: Tobacco: less wet than the grape, with a banana smell. again tobacco cut quite fine. Smoke: well, it's pretty tough to find a nice banana flavour, and is usually in my opinion where most brands slip up. It is something in priniciple that would sound good to smoke, but is always below expectations. This is one of the better bananas i've had. mild banana taste, with almost a bit of cinnamon mixed in. overall: banana is a flavour that always seems to be something I imagine to be great, but that doesn't quite materialise. You can tell it's banana, (with perhaps a melony feel and some cinnamon mixed in). decent smoke, but nothing to really shout about. 7.5 Al Waha 5 Star Mix: Tobacco: this one is dripping wet and doesn't look like the typical alwaha. The smell is strange, perhaps a mixed berry type of smell. Cut decently too, and literally dripping wet. Smoke: this is a strange one. Pretty harsh at the beginning on the throat, almost like a moist feel, but after a few minutes is smoking smoothly. The taste is like a mixed berry soft drink, with some type of chemical contamination. It is quite a bizarre taste, and not a very strong one either. The smoke is typical of the cheaper brands, not thick white luxury you'd get from fakher, romman or al amir. Overall: this one is too strange for me to give a review to. It tastes too artificial and chemically for my liking. Would not purchase again. thankfully just a 50g pack.
King Mo
I make that 42 reviews. I don't even want to know what my lungs look like, or how much I spent over the past year or so on this. Should really focus on my university work

King Mo
haven't been on in a while, but was in the shop the other day, and thought I'd purchase a different brand. It was the same price as Nakhla. Made in Bahrain. Mog El Bahr (As written on the box) (pronounced m-ow-j) Double Apple Tobacco: reasonable double apple smell, a bit of liquorice with perhaps a little hint of Apple. The cut is like Nakhla that has been cut very fine. Sticky and red, and small pieces that make it easy to use and pack a bowl with. Smoke: The smoke took time to come, and is not as thick as Fakher, but comparable with most other brands. The taste is similar to Nakhla double apple, perhaps with a bit more smoothness. Easy to smoke, but loses its flavour after a short while. You can get a good 40 minute smoke out of it. Overall: Nothing overly special, but not bad either. An average tobacco with a decent 'double apple' smoke. I appreciate I am not being totally descriptive with the flavour, but only because the flavour is such a standard one with no surprises or extra hints of additional flavour. It does the job, and was a reasonable bargain priced at Nakhla levels in the UK.

King Mo
here's another flavour I thought I might as well try while I'm sorting out my assignments, only a 50g box, but why not, I give them all a chance al waha CANDY Tobacco: similar to the al waha 5star, a deep red coloured concuction, that is not typical of the regular Al Waha flavours. The tobacco isn't very fine though, and there are some big pieces of leaves (not so much sticks) which are not fantastic when you are trying to pack a bowl. A slight sweet smell but nothing really strong enough to tickle the senses. Smoke: reasonable thickness of smoke, thick, but not rich white thick as in the fakher smoke. The flavour is one I would describe as sweet with a tiny hint of citrus. This again is very difficult to pinpoint, other than describe it as in the previous sentence. There is an artificial feel to it which is typical of such brands. Quite smooth to smoke and there is a flavour to it (which I guess is a positive result). Overall: This is a decent change if one is looking to try something different with a sweet taste but pretty mild. Nothing to brag about here, but there really isn't much to criticise. I guess because the term 'candy' is quite an ambiguous one which leaves the flavour very much open to question, and difficult to have a comparison. In conclusion, nothing special, but nothing disgusting either. Smokeable, and if you want to cure a craving for a shisha, then you can pop this in and have some low satisfaction, and low disatisfaction smoke. 6.
King Mo
Seeing as I only had a 50g box of Golden strawberry for my review, I decided to purchase plain Fakher strawberry to see the difference (previously I have had it in shisha cafes rather than via my skilled hands ) here's the details. fakher STRAWBERRY Tobacco: very wet tobacco, and easy to sprinkle and with your fingers. smells identical to the golden strawberry, and to be honest, is practically the same tobacco more or less. Smells like a strawberry dessert. Smoke: fantastic 'rich' fakher smoke, as expected, and the flavour is excellent too, I have become more of a strawberry fan since my earlier review of the golden. This flavour is creamy in nature, and perhaps should be called strawberrys and cream, or even strawberry milkshake, as that is how it tastes. Not the strongest of flavours, but very smooth and pleasant. Overall: this is a fantastic part of a shisha collection, and a very solid strawberry flavour, perhaps my favourite, as the richness of smoke is very difficult to find in other brands. No risks here, a great flavour and one where the quality can be felt even by the unexperienced smoker. 9.

wyteboy
though I should mention I don't know the creamy-cheesecakey type subtle flavor that many others seem to...however it is still great!
King Mo
Coming Soon: Abu Haitham- Apple, Mint (my first time with this brand) Layalina - Strawberry, Cherry (1st time with brand again) Moj al bahr - Tripple white apple (bizarre description, perhaps a bizarre flavour) Waha - Peach (just for the hell of it, it will suck, but consistency is boring) Golden Fakher Eskandarany- (re-review as I have acquired a taste for eskandarany these days, and it is not in my collection of reviews above )

King Mo
why of course I will. Everything deserves a chance, even the tobacco made in the pits of jordan and Egypt If it gets more than a 7 according to my scale, (I promise to be totally honest), I'll eat the stuff. King Mo
abu Haitham APPLE Tobacco: very easy to work with, small finely cut pieces of medium wetness. has a bit of a red apply Qema apple/ Al amir 3 apple smell to it, but nothing too tantalising. Smoke: The smoke was ok on this one, a decent thickness, with that red apply flavour that is like a cross between Qema Apple, and Apple Fakher. Nothing special at all, but an enjoyable smoke nonetheless. Overall: a decent smoke, but perhaps not worth owning in my opinion. It's a poor mans Qema apple, but not quite as good. As far as single apple flavours go, Apple fakher is still the best I've tried. This is worth a try, but only if someone else has paid for it. I'll give this a
King Mo
layalina CHERRY: Tobacco: medium wet tobacco with a very strong smell. I don't know why, but the smell reminded me of hookahhookah apple. Had a cherry smell to it, and looked promising. The texture itself was pretty sh*tty. big pieces of leaves that aren't too pleasant to handle. Smoke: medium smoke thickness, with a taste that was a little on the cinamonny side, but with no real cherry flavour of note. A very disappointing taste, with little to brag about. It lasted quite a while, and was similar to the al amir cherry flavour, but simply without the cherry, which missed the whole point. Overall: This did not taste like cherry, and with cherry being such a difficult flavour to find in good quality, was very disappointing and a waste of money. Do not buy this, and this could well end up being given away to a friend who doesn't know any better lol. this gets a
King Mo
they keep coming: moj al bahr Triple white apple: tobacco: Comes in a nicely presented 50 g square box. You'd almost expect jewelery to be inside judging by the way it is shaped. Pull off the top, and inside you are presented with a reasonable smelling bag, that perhaps has an Apple jam or something smell, with a cross between Qema apple, Amir 3 apple, and Abu haitham apple. The texture of the tobacco was pathetic though. It consisted of little black bits that were difficult to spread out or anything, and had the texture of condensed excrement of some small pet. Doesn't look too appealing. Smoke: After a short while, this got going pretty well. It did taste like a cross between the aforementioned brands, but doesn't quite succeed in it. Has a taste similar to its smell, but the just didn't have anything too appealing about it. Not a sweet flavour like candy, but more sweet like a dried fruit perhaps. Overall: not going to buy this one again. Was smokeable, but not particularly nice in any way.
yashman19
Great reviews Mo. Its nice to see reviews on flavors that I haven't heard of before, as apposed to the Nahkla, Waha, Romann and Fahker. Makes me wish I could find these types of flavors locally so I can try em out. Maybe someday I can start buying online and check out these new brands. Keep it up bro! King Mo
Now, after smoking the apple, I needed something to perhaps give me a more positive outlook , what do I choose, one of the fakher flavours? well had too much of that, perhaps an Al Amir flavour? nah, may as well go with fakher, but wait. There's an Al waha peach on my desk that is unopened. Shall I take the plunge? Fk it, why not .Heck, I don't even like peach, as you can see by my fumari and romman peach reviews, which don't necessarily correspond with the peach lovers. (although they got good scores as they weren't 'faultable' smokes) Note this is a box, not a tub or can. (not sure if there is a difference, but worth mentioning as occasionally things do differ with brands have the same flavours in different packaging. ALWAHA PEACH Tobacco: peeled off the plastic seal, and opened the box. inside was a bag of wonderful smelling tobacco. Had elements of the fumari and Romman peach smells (tending more towards the romman, which in my opinion is simply refined al waha) and looks promising. But this is Al waha, so have to be careful. The tobacco is similar to the romman in texture. nicely sized tobacco strips without too much to worry about. medium in wetness and goes in the bowl nicely. Smoke: started smoking this, and thought to myself, yea typical al waha, not enough flavour, not enough smoke, will probably die on me in a few minutes. But I persisted. Why throw away the bowl, and it did seem promising at the start. Lo and behold, about 5-10 minutes later, I found myself puffing a lot more regularly. Too regularly in fact. There was a perfect balance of peach, which pretty much was as good as the other peaches I've tried, and with a great smoke density. The peach flavour was unmistakable, and not contaminated in anyway. I was smoking a nice, sweet peach flavour that was pretty effortless in that I didn't seem to worry about it or think about it. It's another one of those al-waha/romman comparisons that reaffirms the belief that romman is simply al waha with a little more care. Overall: well, what can I say. This was a great smoke, and certainly something I'll smoke again and would not be embarassed to make for my friends. At the price when you compare it to fumari's and romman's overpriced efforts, then certainly a worthy addition if you want some peach. An absolute bargain, especially as I had ordered a 50g, but the nice guys at hookahcompany 'upgraded' it to 250. If you haven't tried it, this is a very safe flavour to try, at a very safe price. a peach of a flavour! 9 (yes 9!)
