lazria
Many people have noticed that shisha has an EXP date on them, as well as many companys state it's good for two years after manufactor. My biggest question: is it ok to smoke after said date is past?Reason: I have 4 tubs of shisha that is about 1-1.5 years out of date. The were unopned when I got them. With the exception of one flavor, they taste fine. But, I worry if I should just throw them and replace becasue of the date?Anybody have any ideas? freepain
I dont see how they could really go bad might lose flavor but if they look okay to the eye and dont have any kind of nastiness in them then i would say its fine
steve
For what it is worth I have gotten rid of a bunch of al -waha in the last 6 month most of it was out of date I have shipped over 500 tubs and have had 1 person say it tasted kinds like plastic (maybe from the tub that it was stored in ) 99 percent have said it smoked great and tasted fine . I my self dont smoke so I would not know good mollasses from bad.
lazria
I didn't think they would go bad, providing they weren't sitting "hot" temps for long periods of time. I would think if the tobacco started to ferment or rot, you'd notice it too.I was just more worried about the molasses and gleryin (sp), if they could go bad or possibly spoil. If it just was honey, i wouldn't be worried - that stuff has anti-bac properities to it and would help stem off the bad stuff.Just wondering... ya know
web250
Most people seem to do fine with older tobacco, it's not going to harm you per-se, so why not just try it?

teq
Shisha has an expiration date in the same way that bottled water has an expiration date, after a certain while, it will either retain some of the material it was stored in or it will become stagnant. Other than that, it's all a matter of preference. I would equate it to those who don't mind eating stale crackers... there's no harm in it, but I prefer not, due to the taste and texture. Before smoking it, I would add about a teaspoon of honey and mix it in thoroughly to ensure consistency that will burn well. [LB]
I just soak all my shisha in formaldehyde. Preserved forever + crazy buzz when you smoke it. Its like killing two birds with one stone, Although i don't know why you would be trying to kill birds, and why you would be trying to kill them with a stone. hmmmm.... sambookamax
Well, I had some old Al Waha Strawberry, and Ohh MAN, it smelled goooood! But the taste, not soo niiccee! I ended up throwing it away, it expired in 2004, and I got it this year! I do believe the taste was because of the age...I got it in a trade I haven't given up on the Al Waha Strawberry though, i hear good things about it, so I bought a sample...need to try it as soon as my cold goes away!Cheers! NargileClub
Smoke it. Still good. I have shisha that is four years old in my fridge at home. I smoke it once in awhile. Not because its bad. But because the company stop impoting to the Us. It is soooo damm good that I had ration it out. I started with 6 kilos down to less than a 100 grams. I won't be able to get more. At least for awhile. Long while. Mixed fruit is the Flavor. The brand is Baharaini made in Jordan.Smiley
