Hookah Doesnt Taste Right To Me..

just got my first hookah locally with some sisha I bought from the same store(restaurant) that came in a tuperware container, but for some reaon it doesnt smoke as good as the ones I smoke at the hookah bars. Mine smoke moe harsh and not as smooth.. almost get a sick feeling when I smoke too much. is it the shisha? or my hookah?

sorry I dont know the name or brand of my hookah or shisha.

It actully could be both, first is the shisha which you bought from a resturant and not a brand named shisha so i cannot tell you my own exprience nor anyone else can.
Hookah bars and all of that specialize in hookah making, meaning they know exactly how to make a decent hookah (concidering that i smoked in bars and i prefer my own hookah) it could be your coal, i would say put only one coal on your bowl (not like many other people who put 2 or more), mesure your water level so you'll have the right water lever for your pipe, and if your new try packing the bowl better, meaning spreading the shisha and providing good air flow, if it's too hars blow air into the hose to clear the smoke contained in the vase, that will make the hits more or less smooth.

One coal tip that I've found pretty neat is to split your coal in half and have each half on opposite sides of the bowl. Makes for darn tootin' thick smoke. Very tasty.

your set up is wrong. your burrning the shisha, make sure foil is not in contact with shisha and use a funnel bowl

no i didint get it there, I got it at a place that was cheaper but Im kinda regreting it now. is casbah's sisha any good? I liked how their hookah smoked

I could also be doing that... my bowl is not deep at all so my sisha does come into contact with the foil, maybe Ill try to "foil ring" mod to create some more space between the sisha and foil.

As for shisha. You can pick up shisha at Nicotine- (in 5 points next to the old club 5) they sell, al-waha, HookahHookah,nahkla, and a couple other things. They sell coals, and screens, hoses etc.

Casbah has GREAT shisha. They sell Havana, and Al fahker. They sell mya hookahs (and use them in their bar) they also sell coals and shisha. i dont like how it comes in the little tupper ware containers though. Argh..... casah has awesome food and hookahs though.

Hookahs cabob house = sucks period dont got there YUCK- they use nahkla and something else cheap

Sound like you have problem with heat management and you are burning your shisha. Try breaking the coal into 2 pieces and place the on the opposite end. Move the coal every 5-10 minutes. By the way what type of coal do you use? Natural or Quick lite? If you are using natural coal make sure it's full lite same goes to the QL make sure it's glowing red. A good tip i learn here in the forum is using double foil, before you pack the bowl with shisha place a foil between the bowl and the shisha here i give you a picture so you understand better. And cover the top with another foil like usual this prevent the coal from burning the shisha quickly. And this also prevent the shisha juice dripping to the stem. Hope this will help you ith a better session next time. Don't stop smoking shisha. And practice makes perfect.

Nakhla is a bit dry to me but i like the cherry flavor very much. The best mix i've try so far mint cherry. MIx with al-fakher MInt and Nahkla Cherry two of the best brand that i ever put my hand on. i'll smoke AF all the way. Not to offend anyone here peace

i personally think it's a crappy smoke..... it's cheap and it gives me headaches no matter what. I know there are lots of nahkla lovers in the world, but i personally think it just sucks.

i also dislike aw and AA......so i dunno just my pref.

theres a billiards place off university, forgot the name that i got some shisha from and also halla's off atlantic near the beaches( i b ought my hookah from there I regret it ever since).... I have the same hookah as sarah's use. ill try to look for that place off 5 points to get my sisha from now on. Ill also try not to burn my shisha to see if it smokes better.

which brand should i go with?? Ill pass by nicotine this week

try a little bit of them all, they should have 50g sample backs for like 2 or 3 bux a piece so that way you can test and see which you prefer.

I recc these flavors -

Havana Raspberry, Plum, Mentol, and Bahrani apple

Hookah Hookah - Orange, Fruit Punch , Lemonaide,

AW- most people say After Nine, other than that can't really help you other than that try what you think sounds good

if they have Al Fahker - Plum, mint, i dunno off the top of my head right now.....

Nahkla- double apple, strawberry, mixed fruit?

they might carry others just see what sounds good to you.
