Few Quick Questions

Recommended Posts

i got my hookah skills down pretty good for the most part id say (for a newbie)

i just wanted to know, how often i should be rotating the coals around the funnel.. because right now iam paranoid and move them around very often.

also do you guys use a wind cover inside? i find it smokes better with the windcover on for the most part but i dont wanna end up burning the sisha.

also what do you guys think about adding chunks of chocolate inside the base for the starbuzz chocolate strawberry Edited by clickhea

Perfectly all right to use the wind cover inside. Some people prefer it, because it "traps" the smoke, and then the smoke pulled through the hookah is more intense. As long as the foil is clear of the shisha, there is little chance of scorching. Myself, when I use non-flavored tobacco, I do not use foil, and place the charcoal directly on the tobacco. You get some scorching, but the smoke flavor is unchanged.

I use the wind cover inside all the time. It really adds another level of heat control. I keep it on for the first 5 - 10 minutes to build up some nice heat and get the smoke going, then I take it off. When the coals start to get small, I put it back on to recover more heat and lengthen the session. Give it a try if you can.

sounds good, i usualy use 1 40mm 3 kings coal, which i break in half (I put 1 half on each side of the bowl) usualy goes pretty good... only problem iam having is, alot of the times when i try splitting the coal down the middle it breaks into 3 pieces which sucks.

Yeah, I got tired of trying to get two good half pieces for that reason or that one half is way bigger than the other. You can try scoring the coal down the middle to help make a clean break. I personally just break em up into four pieces now.

keeping the windcover on usually leads to more co2 buildup and you can feel like shit after a long session.

I can't really see this happening. Unless you have a windcover with no holes and/or air grills in it?

To the OP, I use my windcover to increase the heat. Normally during the first 10/15 mins and the last 20 mins of a set of coals to maximise there efficency.

Allways works a treat!
