clickhea
I currently use 1 3 kings 40mm coal broken in half to heat my funnel bowl, rotating the coals every 15-20 pulls.MY question is, If i broke 2 3 kings in half (which would leave me 4 pieces) and put a half on each side of the bowl (therefore pretty much covering the entire bowl) do you guys think that would be way too much heat? I use the scalli mod most of the time which raises the foil up a bit from the shisha as it is. I just figure using 4 coals to cover the bowl would eliminate the need for rotation.thanks in advance. Hookah_Bob3
I believe 2 40mm 3K would be too much heat. It would actually require you to be more attentive to your coals than less attentive
roadster17
Putting two 40mm coals will probably make the hookah hit way too harshly and you will only be able to pull for a few seconds. if you use 2 small three kings coals that will work better and it probably wont be harsh
symptom CY
As roadster said, two 33mm coals broken into halves would probably be fine. With 40mm it might be better to use three halves. If you want to try using four 40mm halves, set them upside down (rounded edge down.) That might actually work.
Scalliwag
Some things you just have to try. There are so many variables that there is not a one size fits all. Trial and error is a common term, but trial and success is the eventual reality to persistance. The size of the bowl, type and flavor of shisha, the hookah itself, water level, and even if you use water opposed to say a fruit juice. With every factor there is an expedential variance that effects the result. Find what works for you and post the results. Keep it fun and you'll be alright....Oh, and ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!
