Allia22
If you still have the pieces, you can wrap foil around the outside to keep it together. Looks ghetto, but it works ok.
Shifty
You should start setting them on their sides to begin with, or if they are packed, keep them beside you like children....
cafesaden
best way to do it is set up your hookah first, then keep the bowl upside down, pack it real quick, and put it on the hookah. dont leave them on counters or edges anywhere.
hookahlife
If you want something that’s less breakable you may want to try the Smiley's glass bowls, or any glass bowl. They are made of Pyrex and incredibly durable. I can’t say they are unbreakable, but they are the same quality as Pyrex Brand kitchenware and can stand extreme heat and a good beating. The only downside is they are somewhat expensive. You can find these on nargileclub.com and I think MN hookah also carries them. We will have these in stock on our site shortly (www.hookah-life.com), so keep an eye out for them.Hope this helps.
tkato
use foil next time on the ribbon connecting your bowl to make sure it sticks.

No offense, but this is probably the worst suggestion you could give someone who is having problems breaking bowls. I use Smiley's bowls in my lounge, and let's just say that durability is not their strong suit. They are glass...you drop them and they will break, its that simple. Buy them because they smoke good. Buy them if you don't want to smoke foil chemicals. But please, do not buy them because you are having trouble breaking bowls. That would just be a really, really bad idea. lazria
I've only broken 1 bowl, the old red clay that came w/ my first set-up. Shattered in my hand as I tried placing it on the stem one night - cut me too. Now I have 3 white clay, a glass, and a phunnel. How you ccould break a phunnel is beyond me - i dropped mine on my foot and had a bruise for a week! My tip for never dropping - as soon as it's packed, I don't put it down until I put it on the stem. Or simply put it "face down". Bummer man, maybe you should try a metal bowl. The night my hookah arrived I broke the bowl while trying to secure it to the stem. I used the "spare" metal bowl that came with my order until I was able to buy a new bowl, a Pyrex glass bowl. I would agree with hookahlife, that they are durable. Just last night I was cleaning my bowl out and it slipped out of my hands and bounced around a few times in the sink. After that happened I accidently dropped it again but yet it didnt break. It sure seems durable to me but maybe my bowl is special. I'd like to replace it with a funnel bowl soon, though.
