Skarredmind
Hey all,Of course I would find this site now, after all my problems are in mid swing...I am being overly dramatic, but I ordered my first hookah from a well known scam site. It came, the world was happy... the longer I am with this thing the more I am realizing that there are problems... If you want to see more I posted something in the vendor reviews section (PM me if you really want the link). All that being said, the stem of my hookah is a piece of $*&#.The question is this, is it better to just replace the stem, or start from scratch with a more quality hookah from a more reputable website?I want something that it at least 32", I want 4 hoses (hey I am a sociable guy). The only other thing I am really looking for is a quality stem that will last me a few years... My bro has a brass stem, and I've seen plenty of stainless ones... any reccommendations?? The less clean-up and such the better (I'm lazy sue me, this is not to say I won't take care of it, but I am not into oiling ball bearings and such)I am going to throw this on here, but I am going to research it too (so since it's a noob question feel free to ignore, I really don't need 50 pm's saying search the forums noob): What is the difference between egyptian, chinese. syrian, mod, and so on (rotators I got figured out lol)Thanks all Alex

The stem they sent me (and the hoses) were garbage.
chrisrbts
if its just a bad stem, get a replacement from social smoke, they have really nice stainless steel stems with a really wide down stem.Thats what i did for my sahara smoke hookah that had a bad downstem.Just make sure to measure everything first and be sure to account for the size of the grommet, which adds about 1/4 an inch to the diameter of the part of the stem that goes into the base.As for getting a 32" 4 hose hookah... i personally don't like hookahs with more than 2 hoses, they just don't seem to hit as well in my opinion... buts that just my 2cents
ezie
the difference between all the hookah that you mentions is about the design of the base, the stem. The egyptian hookah looks very nice with all the beautiful detail. while chiness hookah/or mod is cheaper because it is made in large quantities this also mean less design but it smoke good though and it's made in china. hope this will help you
