Ok. I started this thread because there's not enough information on what I (and I'm sure others) want to know in the review section. If you have a Khalil, please specify which one you have (32" Hafa or 28" Amer), where you got it (HookahComany, eBay, etc.), and what problems, if any, you have with it. This is a good comparison to show everyone what the problems are with each for all of us that are considering purchasing the Khalil Mamoun hookah.

I've got the 28" Amer. The only problem with it, is the stem isn't perfectly straight, other than that, it is perfect!

I just ordered the hafa from hookahcompany on Friday.  If everything goes well, I should have it by next weekend and I'll let you know how it is after I smoke out of it a few times.

The most common place (80% of the time) that the bend occurs at is right where the down-stem meets the bottom of the shank...ie where the thing that sticks under the water connects to the rest of the metal thingy.

If thats the problem, hold the shank at about a 20deg angle upwards, looking through the top of the shank, holding the down-stem with your other hand...allow the shank to wobble loose between your hands and the stem will wobble so that the bend is pointing straight down. With one hand on the bell of the shank (where the down-stem connects), gently push the downstem down to correct the bend. Not too much! Be very careful! They can separate and break!

My Hafa arrived in the mail today and overall I am very pleased with my purchase.  The stem had the black substance in it which other hookahforum members have reported.  Mine also had the sharp edge at the end of the downstem.  This is actually the brass core sticking down a little further than the rest of the downstem.  Its only extends a couple of milimeters down which i can live with.  I pressed my finger against it firmly and it didn't cut me.  The glass base is better looking than what the pictures on hookahcompany show.  The hose is ok.  It will most definitely get the job done until I can order the nammor hose from HS.  Everything sealed up really well.  The draw is effortless, a lot less work than every other hookah I've ever smoked out of.  Me and my friend Nick are smoking Al Waha Orange with a small funnel bowl and glass scalli mod and the hookah is performing very well.  Overall I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase, the pros most definitely outweigh th
e slight imperfection and black stuff in the downstem.

I got my Hafa a couple of weeks ago.. the only problem i had with it was the hose and i got that replaced extremely fast since it was already starting to fall apart on me after a week, other than that it smokes like a champ!

a little off topic but.. someone needs to start carrying the 39" KM that smiley carrys at his lounge.. i would buy one in a heartbeat. The glass is solid.. actually fuck.. the whole thing is solid and I have never hit a hookah that smokes so smooth..
