Group Sponsor!?

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone,

As much as we love hookah, we love to see others enthusiasm for spreading the hookah mentallity. Thats why we want to spread the word about our sponsor program. We currently sponsor hookah groups and clubs all around the country anywhere from college campuses to neighborhood gatherings, with membership ranging from 5-200+ participants. If you know of or operate a hookah related group with 5 or more members and would like to get sponsored please contact us to get details.

We respond to PM's and Topic reply's, but you can reach us better at our email address.

Contact us anytime, and tell us about your group:

What is the name of your group?
How many members do you have?
How often do you meet?
Do you actively recruit more members?
Where are you located?
What do you love about hookah and the hookah experience?

We look forward to hearing from everyone and thanks in advance for your participation.

Best Regards,
Mike and Eugene

Wow, this was exactly what I was looking for a few months ago o_O

The name of the group is The Hookah Guys.
I'm not sure about how many members we have... somewhere in the area of 10, perhaps?
We meet 2x a year at Illinois anime conventions - Anime Central (ACen, it was a blast) and The Reactor, coming up in either October or November.
Whoever comes up to our group with a hookah of their own is pretty much made a new member, others are free to come and smoke with us.
The vast majority of the group is located around the Chicago area, while I'm in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin.
You'd have to ask them what they love most about hookah and the hookah experience. I'll take a wild stab at it and say they like the bond and sense of fellowship the hookah forms. I personally love the ritual aspects of hookah: setting it up, perfecting the session, taking it down, cleaning everything, polishing the stem... Oddly spiritual in a way.

Everyone's got their own hookahs and I don't think they mind hauling them out to the conventions (they like to show them off, can't blame them a bit happy.gif), but shisha can get expensive.

Name: Hookah Maniacs

10 Members but about 5-7 show up each time.

We Meet up twice a month.

We recruit but its like friends of friends who Come from word of mouth.

Southern California- We usually meet up at a local park.

Hookah has the ability to bring people together in a new kind of social level. We talk about everything, from politics to religion to dinner. Personally i love it because the atmosphere and the attention we get from our surroundings. People who walk by always ask what it is and want to try it.. or they ask for cigerattes.. lol but anyhow you get the picture smile.gif

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the participation so far, we love the feedback and the interest.

To clarify the program a bit here are some details on what is involved for both parties and how we have done it in the past with our other partner groups:

Aside from the 15% discount you currently receive through the forum. We can create specialized discounts on the products your group prefers over others, for instance if you all love to smoke Al Fakher tobacco we will provide it a prices unavailable to others, something along the lines of a buying co-op, except without all the complicated stuff.

In addition, as with the other groups we sponsor we will from time to time provide your group with sample packs of products we are testing for inclusion in our inventory or products that your group wishes to sample. We have just recently sent a partner group a welcome package with a couple of Kilos of Tangiers and Havana tobacco and some coals for the group to sample, in exchange they will receive fliers and any other group advertisements we provide to them. Whenever we consider new products for our inventory we do our best to include our partner groups’ considerations and reviews. Along with free samples and packages you will receive, included will be fliers and other misc. advertising materials. We truly want you to enjoy the free goodies we send you, but we also ask that you respect our business and provide us with meaningful feedback. That is the basic extent of our sponsorship.

If there are any products in particular which your groups would like to sample from our website please send us a list and we will see what we can put together, we are usually able to fulfill all requests. We also request, although it’s not required, that you provide us with pictures of your group gatherings for inclusion in a section of our website to be released at a later date.

We strive for this relationship to grow into something mutually beneficial and rewarding for all the participants.

Hope this helps and if there are any more detailed questions please contact us directly via PM or email.

Best Regards,
Mike and Eugene Edited by hookahlife

What is the name of your group? B.B.C., or boom boom clap

How many members do you have? we have 17 constant members. only 7 smoke on a regular basis

How often do you meet? seven of us. my roommates and i smoke every single day. no matter what. biggrin.gif

Do you actively recruit more members? anyone who comes to the apartment has to smoke from our hookah (Natalie). but that does not make them members right away, they have to come over a few times in order to join the family. they also have to know what our rituals are. whether its no shoes allowed at the hookah or no crossing the hoses.

Where are you located? we live in and love Portland Oregon.

What do you love about hookah and the hookah experience? everything about it is amazing in my opinion. the flavors we try. the ne games we make up. the social setting around it. its relaxing. the conversations we have around the "center piece of our lives". we currently have two hookahs. one with three hoses and one with two. Natalie is our newer one with three hoses we use everyday. hah yes we named her haha. me and my roommates all agree when we say we do not know what we would do for 4 hours everynight without our hookah bringing us together.

http://www.myspace.com/hookahskank this is natalie if you care to see her.

Mike and Eugene

Name: UMBC Hookah
Members: 8 regular, 5 semi-regular (and we are always getting ppl stopping to ask us what flavor we are smoking and asking if they can have a hit)
Frequency of smoking: 4 of us smoke everyday; the rest of us get together at least once a month.
Location: Baltimore County
Why we love hookah: It's just a nice way to relax after a long day of classes and studying. It allows a equal playing ground for ideas and conversations. Great way to meet new people, make new friends and just plain have fun.

UMBC has quite a large hookah interest, I am trying to unite most of the people (just started at the end of last semester) so that we can all share our common hobby together. Also, I have no problem putting up fliers and ads for hookahlife around campus, i'm sure it will attract quite a lot of business because most people I have found try to buy shisha around here, which... well plain sucks. (all u can get is naklah and al amir) I am slowly converting people to buying online normally MNH but ur prices are equally competitive. Do you plan on having tangiers in stock soon? I am planning on stocking up for the summer next week and I wouldn't mind throwing a little business to the new guy =)

Name: The Suburban Smokers
Members: 5 With Hookahs, 10-15 more without, usually a group of 8-10 every friday or saturday
Frequency: I smoke nearly every day, usually with 2 other members, and fridays and saturdays we usually have 8-10 total, with 3 or 4 hookahs up and going.
Recruiting: Basically we all know people who enjoy smoking, and try to bring em out every weekend to join us, and in turn they tell their friends, etc. We've slowly been gathering more, and as its summer a lot of people back from college come out.
Location: Danville, California

What do you love about hookah and the hookah experience?:
The social aspect. Its hard to find an excuse to sit around with a group of people, and do virtually nothing but talk for 4 hours straight. Aside from eating, rarely do people sit around and just enjoy eachother's company, and thats exactly what hookah is (without the calories tongue.gif).
