TheAlmightyClaw
So I tried my set up again tonight with different tobacco. I packed up my small phunnel from hookahcompany (with xxoxx hole style in the foil), and put on my nour coals (natural finger logs). It would take 3-4 good size chunks to finally get a decent smoke, but it would not last long. Out of the 1.5 hours of smoking, I think I got a about 15-25 min of good smoke. I looked at it afterwards, and the shisha was all burnt. I don't know why I am having such a hard time with the phunnel (I think the mod might help a little bit when it comes). Any ideas of what might be going wrong?

Officer Rod Farva
Yeah. If you are poking a hole in the foil above the phunnel and not putting enough tobacco in, you'll be drawing alot of air and very little smoke.
Twang
I usually just do 1 ring of good size holes on the edge. I also use a scalli mod. I then use 3-4 small pieces of coal (I use Nour a lot). If you have too many holes all over, you will bring in a lot of unheated air... It takes more coal to get enough heated air. Try the 1 ring of holes method and see if it helps. Also, try using a wind cover (you can make one out of foil really quick and easy). This will help all the holes to bring in heated air.
