Aside from that, the stem is guaranteed by Mya for 1 year, and if the glass vase breaks within our 30 Day Return period we will replace/return it as long as it is clearly a manufacturing defect. Meaning it has not shattered into dozens of pieces due to dropping or being hit with a hammer. Also, did your issue ever get resolved with the broken vase? ASUSEAN1 Posted June 2, 2007 Share Posted June 2, 2007 its not the same glass as their old myas, jus by lookign at it you can tell it is different.. you don't have to be a glass expert. Mya did replace my pyramid.. it broke again in a month from the suction of the stem.. this time my friend was standing up and pulled the stem off.. made a popping sounds and the corner blew out. I plan on making a video soon..also the glass is soft., it doesn't have the extra thick glass on the bottom either.. glass that soft should also be atleast 1/4" thick.. eh.. just my opinion that the old myas are about a million times better.. i guess that letter mya gave us about the same quality no matter where they manfactured their hookahs was some kind of joke. I also know two other people who have had trouble with a pyramid and a diva. I have two other "old" style myas which are still running strong after two years of use.. and a little abuse ( brought them on top of mountains) but the pyramid has never made it off the kitchen table but i guess you live and you learn. On another note, I like the stem!.. the thing is fucking sweeet. but i will never buy another mya base unless it is one of the older style (basically everything that is not the diva, octagon, and pyramid.. and the pimp hookah looks like the same glass but i have not seen one up close).. i hear the qts are not as thick as they used to be either.. Is Mya doing any quality control or is it just cheaper to take the stuff from china and keep replacing broken parts?My hoses rusted and when Mya said send them for replacement its been 3 months and still no hoses. Both have since rusted (they lasted about 4 months of daily usage), now I'm looking into replacing the hose part with some sort of tubing and NEVER going back to mya again Pretty, but overpriced. I've tried it with one, two, and three hoses. Mya products are pretty much the best hookahs out there, in my opinion. $119 is a great price too, btw. Ive had my first mya for almost 2 years, another for a year (the QT), and as for rusting hoses, my mya wides have zero rust. I actually cut open my first mya hose after about a year and a half (the one from my first mya) and i was rather amazed at how rust free it was. It had started tasting bad, but after opening it up i can definitely tell you that was due to the flavors/scents/whatever of smoking adhering to the leather.My myas have been extraordinary, and compared to the three egyptians ive owned, far easier to clean. The reason I'm not getting a mya hookah is because I hate getting something a vast majority of the people have. I can vouch for ASUSEAN1 saying that he used to love myas; he used to be all about them until his wang-esque pyramid broke. You can always buy a different style base like the vortex or bohemian, if the pyramid doesn't work out.. Remember? Customization.... For the purposes of this thread I personally, don't care what your feelings toward mya, khalil, generic, or podunk rednecks hookah is.. I started this thread to show joy at my purchasing a new hookah. Not to turn this into a debate on what you people think of them or which is better and why. If I wanted a review or your thoughts on the matter, I'd ask for it.
